Welcome, neighbour. 🙏🏡🐾🌸 If you’re new here, there’s something you should know. The cabin you see on this page isn’t my life… not yet. The morning coffee on the porch. The firewood. The workshop. The shelter for the side-by-side before winter. The sauna by the lake. The quiet dinners. The conversations beneath the stars. Even the occasional suit before returning home to a crackling fire… they’re all pieces of a life I’m working toward. I spent over 35 years in construction. I raised my two children largely on my own. Somewhere along the way, survival became more familiar than dreaming. I stopped believing the man in the mirror deserved much more than another day’s work. This page changed that. Every image, every conversation, every sunrise at the cabin is a reminder to the man in the mirror not to quit on the life he still hopes to build. I’m not trying to fool anyone into believing I already have it. I’m choosing to become the kind of man who will. This isn’t about wealth. It isn’t about pretending. It’s about peace. Over time, something else became clear to me. The Cabin isn’t simply a place I’m hoping to reach one day. It’s quietly becoming the compass that’s helping me become the man I hope will one day unlock its door. That’s why the little things matter so much. The breakfasts aren’t just about good food. They’re about discipline. Stacking firewood isn’t just preparing for winter. It’s about responsibility. Helping neighbours isn’t just an act of kindness. It’s about becoming the kind of neighbour I’d be proud to have living next door. Cooking for someone isn’t about impressing her. It’s about creating a place where she feels safe, cherished, and truly welcome. Even raising Shadow isn’t just about having a good dog. He’s teaching me patience, consistency, and the quiet responsibility of caring for another life. My faith isn’t something I hope you’ll only see on Sunday mornings. I pray it’s found in the ordinary moments—in gratitude, in keeping my word, in serving others, in asking forgiveness when I fall short, and in trying to become a little better than I was yesterday. One day I hope to unlock the door to a place that feels like home. A place where the coffee is always hot, the wood is stacked, friends are always welcome, and the woman beside me knows she’s deeply loved. I don’t dream of spending my days building a cabin. I dream of living there. The small projects will never end, and I hope they don’t. A woodshed, a sauna, a trail to clear, something to fix in the workshop… just enough work to remind me I still can. If God and my neighbours see fit, I believe that day will come. But I don’t want the Cabin to be the thing that changes me. I want this journey to have already done that. Until then, you’re watching the journey, not the destination. Walk with me. I’m trying to become worthy of the life I hope to be blessed with one day, just as many of you are. If you decide to stay, welcome to the cabin. We’re still making our way home. 🏡🪵🐾

BRAZIL IS A WAKE-UP CALL THE WORLD CANNOT AFFORD TO IGNORE. ⚔️🚨‼️ When election rules are changed at the eleventh hour, when millions of citizens question the outcome, and when those in power expect everyone to simply accept the result, there had better be answers. Not excuses. Not political speeches. Answers backed by evidence. I don’t care whether it’s Brazil, Canada, America or anywhere else. No political establishment owns democracy. No institution deserves blind trust. And no citizen should be expected to surrender their right to question those in power. If the system is legitimate, open the records, answer the challenges and let the evidence speak. Democracy belongs to the people. Never to the political class. ⚔️

GENTLEMEN, WE MAY HAVE A PROBLEM. 😏 It’s a lamp. A perfectly innocent household lamp. Yet somehow I suspect a few of you needed a second look before figuring that out. Ladies, I’m beginning to understand why you question what goes on inside our heads. In our defence, sometimes the imagination gets there before common sense does. 😉🤣

Good luck small accounts, your new posts now get a fair chance to be seen. Your first 2 hours still matter most.
X ALGORITHM UPDATE 🚨 X just stopped cutting new posts first, and that should help small accounts (I check it daily with Claude and share updates worth sharing with you) tl;dr: - X can only check 2,800 posts each time you open your feed - new posts used to be last in line, so they got cut first - now everything gets cut equally, new posts included - posts labeled low quality or misinfo now show a warning, and people can't like, reply or share them - no score changes this time lesson learned: your new posts now get a fair chance to be seen. Your first 2 hours still matter most. full details: - How it worked until this week Every time someone opens For You, X collects around 3,700 posts it could show them: posts from people they follow, popular posts, posts liked by similar people, and brand new posts. But X only has time to check 2,800 of them. So it just took the first 2,800 in line. Brand new posts were at the back of the line. When there were too many, they were the ones left out... and a post that never gets checked can't be shown. - What changed Now everything gets cut by the same amount. 25% too many? Every type of post loses 25%, new posts included. Nobody goes first. - Why small accounts should care Those brand new posts are under 2 hours old, with under 8 likes and under 500 views. That's where most posts from smaller accounts are. My read: they now get a fair chance instead of being cut first. How often X actually hits the 2,800 limit isn't in the code, so I can't tell you how big the difference is. - Low quality and misinfo posts now show a warning If X labels your post as low quality or misinformation, people who don't follow you see a warning on it, and they can't like, reply, repost, bookmark or share it. The code doesn't say what gets a post that label. Here's a recap of what you should be doing: - a new post gets its extra push only in its first 2 hours and first 200 views, so post when your people are online - likes carry more weight than ever at 0.66 each - people sticking around pays, the time-spent score is 50% higher than two weeks ago - a read of 10+ seconds after someone opens your post adds 0.4 - the boost favors the post with the best like rate from its first viewers - accounts up to 50K can get one fresh original lifted to roughly 16th - nothing beats a copy link share, it scores 20 - replies, quotes and DM shares each score 5 - talk with your mutuals, replies between you score 20 instead of 5 - originals are the only posts that travel outside your follower base - the 1st and the 32nd like each open a new route to strangers - your 2nd post in the same feed is worth 62% of the first, so pick your best one - videos still need 10+ seconds to qualify for the video lists - earning a follow adds 4 - a pinned post with a bad link can flag the account for 7 days, worth a quick check What you should NOT be doing: - posts that get labeled low quality or misinfo now carry a warning, and nobody outside your followers can like or share them - video alone won't carry you, an open counts 0.02 and the watch 0 - hide-worthy posts cost more, "not interested" sits at -52.27 - a post at 3am burns its 2 hour window before anyone sees it - a tap that turns into a bounce is worth only 0.3 - replies and reposts don't get past your followers - insults get your post hidden from anyone who doesn't follow you - adult media in 3 of your last 5 posts puts a label on your account - disguised content in videos gets checked from 64 likes, harder at 512 - self-reply chains under big accounts risk being zeroed - one account label and non-followers stop seeing you entirely - low-rated links don't belong in your pinned post - recycled wording can get tagged as copypasta spam - strangers tagged plus a low quality link is a pattern X flags - engagement bait has no size exemption - several posts in a row end up competing with each other - hashtag stacks add nothing - bookmarks are still worth 0 - 48 hours in, For You is finished with a post

She was the first Black person ever to win an Oscar. Then her Oscar vanished, and nobody has found it since. Hattie McDaniel came to Los Angeles with a big voice and a gift for comedy. To get by, she worked as a maid. In 1939 she was cast as Mammy in Gone with the Wind. She wasn't allowed at its Atlanta premiere. The theater was whites-only. Clark Gable threatened to boycott, and McDaniel talked him into going anyway. On February 29, 1940, she went to the Academy Awards at the Ambassador Hotel's Cocoanut Grove in Los Angeles, nominated for Best Supporting Actress. The hotel had a strict no-Black policy. She was let in as a favor and seated at a small segregated table against the far wall, away from her co-stars. Then they read her name. She walked to the stage with gardenias in her hair and said she hoped to always be a credit to her race. She was in tears. When critics attacked her for playing maids, she answered: "Why should I complain about making $700 a week playing a maid? If I didn't, I'd be making $7 a week being one." She died of breast cancer on October 26, 1952. Her last wish was to be buried in Hollywood Cemetery. It refused. It was segregated. She left her award to Howard University, where it sat in a glass case. Then, sometime in the late 1960s or early 1970s, it was gone. No record of what happened to it. A rumor said protesters threw it into the Potomac. A law professor who investigated called that baseless. It has never turned up. In 2023, the Academy gave Howard a replacement, 83 years after she won. They kept her out of the premiere and out of the cemetery. They couldn't keep her out of history. Disclaimer: Supporting winners then got a plaque, not a statuette. Accounts vary on her exact words and when the award disappeared. I don’t know if the Wright Brothers had this in mind when they were dreaming of their flying machine, but there is no doubt that man has a vivid imagination when it comes to getting off the ground. These entries are from the Red Bull Flugtag held in Minneapolis this year. It’s amazing to think about going from simple machines like these to Elon’s rocket boosters returning to Earth in 120 years time. Where will we be in the next 100 years? ✈️ 🚀 🌎

⚔️🔥 THE SAME POWER THAT RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD LIVES IN YOU! 🔥⚔️ 📖 Romans 8:11 (KJV) “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” 🕊️ LET THAT TRUTH SINK DEEP INTO YOUR SPIRIT! The very Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the grave dwells within those who belong to Him! Think about the magnitude of that promise! The grave could not hold Him. Death could not defeat Him. Darkness could not overcome Him. And that SAME Holy Spirit is at work within YOU! 🙏🔥 When life knocks you to your knees, remember WHO gives you the strength to rise again. When fear whispers that you’re defeated, remember WHO has already conquered death. When the enemy tries to convince you that your circumstances are greater than your calling, remember that the power of God is greater than anything standing against you! You may be wounded, but you are not without hope. You may be weary, but you are not without strength. You may walk through darkness, but you do not walk alone. Romans 8:11 is more than a message of encouragement. It is a glorious promise of resurrection life through the indwelling Holy Spirit! Our greatest victory is not found in our own abilities, our determination, or our earthly strength. OUR VICTORY IS FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST! ✝️ So, God’s Warriors, stand firm in your faith. Walk boldly in His truth. Let the Holy Spirit transform your heart, renew your mind, and strengthen your spirit. Because the God who conquered the grave is still bringing life, hope, and restoration to His children! ⚔️ A WARRIOR FOR CHRIST DOES NOT FIGHT FOR VICTORY ALONE… WE STAND IN THE VICTORY CHRIST HAS ALREADY WON! ⚔️ 🙏 Heavenly Father, awaken our hearts to the extraordinary gift of Your Holy Spirit. When we are weak, strengthen us. When we are discouraged, renew our hope. When our faith is tested, remind us that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead dwells within us. Teach us to walk not in fear, but in faith, obedience, and the assurance of Your promises. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen! ✝️❤️ 🔥 WARRIOR’S REFLECTION: If the Spirit of the living God dwells within you, why allow fear to have the final word when Jesus has already conquered the grave? RISE IN FAITH. WALK IN TRUTH. LIVE IN HIS POWER! ~ ⚔️❤️ Warrior❤️⚔️ ~ #WarriorsForChrist #Romans811 #ResurrectionPower #FaithOverFear #HolySpirit #VictoryInJesus

🤠🔥 TOMBSTONE, ARIZONA | OCTOBER 26, 1881 Good grief! I came to Tombstone to experience the Wild West, but I had no idea just HOW wild it was about to get! 😂 145 years ago today, Wyatt Earp, his brothers, and Doc Holliday faced the Cowboys in the legendary Gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Thirty seconds of gunfire that became one of the most famous moments in American frontier history. And somehow, I managed to pick THAT afternoon to visit! 🤠💥 History sure has a way of coming alive! #Tombstone

🇺🇸⚔️ DON’T LET DISAGREEMENT TURN INTO DISENGAGEMENT! ⚔️🇺🇸 You don’t have to agree with every decision made by an administration to recognize the importance of an election. Elections are not about finding perfect leaders. They’re about choosing the direction of our nation. The November 3rd midterms will help determine who controls Congress, what legislation advances, and how effectively the administration can pursue its agenda. The House controls critical spending decisions. The Senate plays a vital role in confirming presidential nominees. Together, they shape the legislative future of this country. And those responsibilities are far bigger than any single political disagreement. Frustration is understandable. Accountability is essential. Blind loyalty should never replace independent thinking. But choosing not to participate doesn’t hold elected officials accountable. It simply leaves the decision to everyone else. You can disagree with leadership, demand better decisions, and still recognize the importance of making your voice heard at the ballot box. For those concerned about America’s future, the question is not whether every decision has been perfect. The question is: 🇺🇸 WHAT DIRECTION DO YOU WANT AMERICA TO TAKE NEXT? Research the candidates. Examine their records. Understand what’s at stake. Then vote according to your principles, your convictions, and your vision for America’s future. Your vote is your voice. Don’t surrender it to frustration. 🇺🇸 NOVEMBER 3, 2026 — MAKE YOUR VOICE COUNT! ⚔️ Warrior #Midterms2026 #VoteRedMidterms2026 #AmericaFirst #YourVoteMatters

Choosing not to vote in the midterm election because you disagree with some decisions of the current administration is unwise. We must maintain control of the House and Senate to save America. This should be a priority for every conservative. Period. #VoteRedMidterms2026

🦋🔥 WHERE THE WILD SPIRIT MEETS THE MAGIC OF SELF AND GOD 🔥🦋 There is something breathtaking about a soul that refuses to be tamed by fear, silenced by adversity, or confined by the expectations of this world. A soul that dances with the wind, finds beauty in the storms, and recognizes that its greatest strength comes not from controlling life, but from trusting the One who created it. ❤️ That is where the wild spirit meets the divine. Where courage becomes faith. Where brokenness becomes wisdom. Where scars become testimonies. Where freedom becomes a sacred expression of who God created you to be. ✨ The magic isn’t in becoming someone extraordinary. It’s in discovering the extraordinary soul God placed within you from the very beginning. 🪽 You were never created to live imprisoned by fear, diminished by others’ opinions, or disconnected from the beautiful purpose written upon your heart. You were created to LIVE boldly, LOVE deeply, DREAM fearlessly, and WALK faithfully. 🐺 🪽 And sometimes, discovering yourself means wandering beyond the familiar, embracing the wilderness, and trusting that even when the path disappears, God has never lost sight of your destination. 📖 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV) So let your spirit run wild with wonder. Let your heart remain tender with compassion. Let your soul burn brightly with purpose. And above all, let God be the compass guiding your beautiful, untamed journey. Because the most powerful kind of freedom isn’t living without boundaries… It’s knowing exactly WHO you are, WHOSE you are, and refusing to let the world steal the light God placed inside you. 🕊️🔥 ⚔️ Stay wild in spirit. Stay grounded in truth. Stay fearless in faith. The wilderness may awaken your soul, but it is GOD who gives your spirit wings. ✨ And THAT, my friends, is where the real magic begins. ✨ ❤️‍🔥 ~ Warrior ⚔️🪽

He landed his helicopter between American soldiers and the villagers they were about to kill. Then he told his own crew: if they open fire, shoot them. March 16, 1968. My Lai, South Vietnam. Hugh Thompson Jr., a 24-year-old Army warrant officer from Georgia, was flying a small scout helicopter over the village with two young crewmen, Glenn Andreotta and Lawrence Colburn. They were supposed to spot enemy fire. There was none. What they saw instead were unarmed civilians, women, children and old men, being killed by American troops. Thompson saw soldiers moving toward a bunker where villagers were hiding. He set the helicopter down in the line of fire, climbed out and confronted the officer in charge. Andreotta and Colburn stood by the helicopter with their guns ready, aimed at their own side. Thompson coaxed about ten villagers out of the bunker and called in gunships to fly them to safety. Then his crew spotted movement in a ditch. Andreotta climbed in and pulled out a small boy, alive. They flew him to a hospital. Back at base, Thompson reported everything. An order went out to stop the killing. He was not treated as a hero. For years he was shunned and threatened, and some in Washington said he was the one who should be punished. Andreotta was killed in combat three weeks later. Thirty years after that day, in 1998, the Army finally awarded all three men the Soldier's Medal at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The general who led the Army's investigation wrote, "If there was a hero of My Lai, he, Thompson, was it." Courage isn't only facing the enemy. Sometimes it's standing up to your own side. Disclaimer: Based on Army records, the 1998 Soldier's Medal citation and news reports. The citation credits the crew with saving at least ten civilians. Andreotta's medal was awarded after his death.
