For one full year we argued on this street that there is no Christian genocide in Northern Nigeria. Within a single day, a young man released a video of paramilitary-style training where young Muslims were being groomed to chant “Mass Genocide” against Christians in the Southeast. That same week, Sheikh Yahaya Ibrahim Masussuka, one of the few scholars who consistently preached against insurgency, was assassinated. Months earlier, Ibrahim Danshagamu publicly begged the Kano government to protect him after members of the Izala movement allegedly threatened his life. That same week, he was killed in his bedroom. Today, some elders of the Izala movement stand with a young man being trained to hate his fellow human beings. On this same street, members of the same movement celebrated the assassination of Sheikh Masussuka. If the Federal Government does not immediately proscribe the Izala movement, arrest clerics promoting extremism in Northern Nigeria, and release Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasir Kabara to continue deradicalisation work, this country is heading for disaster. We will one day wake up to a fully formed Al-Qaeda-style network in Nigeria. At that point, even Somalia will look safer than Northern Nigeria.

As an ENT surgeon also navigating the political space , it’s a lot of hard work combining both. After the #65freeadenotonsillectomysurgeries to celebrate Mr Peter Obi,s birthday which involved children who could not breath, I and other OK Medics and the Ok Movement USA in partnership with the Vision Savers International are taking up another challenge which is conducting 20000 Free Cataract surgery across Lagos for blind people to receive their eyesights In a broader picture our Principal Mr Peter Obi NDC Presidential candidate @PeterObi has indicated interest in this program to help people gain back their sights The surgery initiative should commence in November. I am happy to say that OK Movement USA has agreed to contribute 1/3rd of the funds for the laser cataract extraction surgeries. I am appealing to all those involved or interested in this program to send in their contributions so we start this program on time It’s already tough being a Nigerian and how much more blind people who cannot afford to pay for these surgeries I will be discussing this surgery in a podcast series details will come shortly

Hours After NDC Supporters Share Campaign Flyers in Church, Pastor Urges Members to Be Strategic Ahead of 2027 Elections Hours after NDC supporters stormed a church to share campaign flyers with members following the service, the pastor reportedly changed his preaching, educating the congregation on the need to be strategic ahead of the 2027 general elections. The pastor urged members to learn from what voters in Osun State did during their election, stressing the importance of protecting their votes. He encouraged them to put measures in place to monitor the electoral process, from polling units to INEC collation centres, to ensure that their votes count.
“We took our campaign gospel to church today.” — NDC supporters took to the church to share NDC campaign flyers with church members after the service.
