Huge £15million museum celebrating Royal Marines proud history opens in Portsmouth The Royal Marines Experience has opened inside a restored 1840s boathouse in the Historic Dockyard. It covers more than 360 years of the Corps from 1664 to the present and displays all ten Victoria Crosses awarded to Marines. Visitors can try interactive training challenges including rope climbs and virtual reality battles.
