विशाखापत्तनम की योजना में पेयजल पर निर्भरता कम करने का अलग रास्ता भी शामिल है। AdaniConneX और Google के प्रस्तावित डेटा सेंटर में शहर की पीने के पानी की सप्लाई के बजाय अलग इंडस्ट्रियल वॉटर कनेक्शन इस्तेमाल करने की योजना है।
साइट पर वेस्टवॉटर ट्रीटमेंट और रीसाइक्लिंग के साथ एयर बेस्ड कूलिंग भी प्रस्तावित है। तीनों साइट्स पर मीठे पानी की कुल खपत एक ओलंपिक साइज़ स्विमिंग पूल से भी कम रहने की उम्मीद है।
ऐसे प्रोजेक्ट में पर्यावरणीय दावों की स्वतंत्र जांच और वास्तविक परिणामों की निगरानी महत्वपूर्ण होगी।

The government records already named Torrent as the developer.
