My friend Brent's dog is very sick and needs surgery on a tumor. I don't use X to promote fundraisers but every once in a while, and this is one of those moments where it's kind of necessary. Please help if you can, that would totally make his day gofund.me/ece2d3be0

As soon as you said you actually wanted to be with someone else, that killed it for me.

Having a home where you can relax without ever wanting to escape is truly underrated. I love my space.

Didn't really mean it as stated, I just don't want to see people I've looked up to in pain. Besides being good looking, you're smart - and I believe in you.

I jogged for roughly 50 minutes today. There was a run so the route was cut off, I tried going around it but it ended up being allot of uphill all at once. Feel great!

Scientists Found a Way to Help the Eye Repair Itself by Blocking a Single Protein What if damaged eyes could one day repair themselves instead of losing vision permanently? Scientists are exploring this possibility after identifying a protein that may prevent the retina from regenerating. The retina is the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye that allows us to see. In humans, damaged retinal nerve cells generally cannot grow back, making vision loss from diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration extremely difficult to reverse. But some animals, including zebrafish, can naturally repair their retinas after injury. Scientists have been trying to understand why humans lack this ability. Researchers have identified a protein called PROX1 that appears to act as a barrier to retinal regeneration. By blocking this protein, scientists were able to encourage retinal support cells in mice to change their behavior and help rebuild damaged light-sensitive tissue. The findings suggest that the eye may retain some of the biological tools needed for repair, but natural barriers prevent those tools from being activated. If researchers can safely apply this approach to humans, it could open new possibilities for treating certain types of vision loss. However, there is an important limitation: these findings do not mean that scientists can already restore eyesight in humans. The research was conducted in mice, and further studies are needed to determine whether the approach is safe and effective in people. Still, the discovery offers an exciting new direction for eye research. Instead of simply trying to protect the remaining vision, future treatments might one day help the eye rebuild damaged tissue from within. Source: Kim, M., Lee, E. J., & Kim, J. W.
