She was a movie star. He was building one of the most respected careers in Hollywood. Then they chose a different kind of life. Phoebe Cates and Kevin Kline met in 1983 when she auditioned for The Big Chill. She didn’t get the part. She got something better: the man she’d marry six years later. By then she was already famous from Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Gremlins. He was on his way to an Oscar for A Fish Called Wanda. They married in New York in 1989 and had two kids, Owen and Greta. Instead of both chasing the spotlight at full speed, they made a quiet rule: one parent stayed available. Cates eventually stepped back from acting almost entirely. Kline kept working—in film, theater, and television—but never at the expense of being present at home. They simply took turns. That’s why the “then and now” photo hits differently. The young woman on the left was everywhere. The woman on the right largely disappeared from public view—not because Hollywood forgot her, but because she decided family mattered more than being seen. More than 35 years later, they’re still together, still choosing the same rhythm. Fame fades. The life they built didn’t. Sometimes the most interesting Hollywood story is the one where someone walks away and never looks back. ❤️

STATEMENT FROM JACK CAMPBELL My family and I want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and support we’ve received over the past few days. It means more to us than words can express. I’m incredibly encouraged by the progress I’ve made in such a short period of time. I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body. I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better. My faith in God has never been stronger. I know He has a plan for me, and I trust in that plan. I know there may be challenges ahead, but with my faith, my family, and so many people in my corner, I know we’ll get through this. I especially want to thank the athletic trainers and medical personnel who responded and cared for me on the field. I know those were difficult moments, and I’m incredibly grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and care you showed me. The way you handled everything and looked after me when I needed it most is something I’ll never forget. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I also can’t say enough about the incredible care I’ve received from the medical team at Henry Ford Hospital and the Detroit Lions medical staff. They’ve been amazing to me and my family throughout this process, and I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done. To my teammates, coaches, and everyone in the Lions organization, I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. This team is a family to me, and the way everyone has been there for me means everything. I’m proud to be a Detroit Lion and couldn’t ask to be surrounded by a better group of people. One thing I’ve learned about Detroit is that this city is built on toughness, resilience, and grit. That’s exactly how I’m going to approach this challenge. Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. We feel the love, and I can’t thank everyone enough. God is good. My faith is strong. Jack Campbell

Burt Reynolds’ Hooper was the first film to run outtakes during the closing credits. Director Hal Needham wanted a way to spotlight the insane stunt work, so he rolled the credits over a montage of outtakes, alternate takes, and big stunts. A format still used 48 years later.

🚨President Trump just got Greg Gutfeld to call out Jessica Tarlov by texting Greg while on air. "Greg, tell Tarlov, who is the WORST, gas prices are lower than they were for Biden and Obama and THEY allowed Iran to have a nuclear bomb." God bless Trump!

Halloween cartoons just hit different when you grew up with Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes. No fancy animation, no special effects, just pure Saturday morning magic. Who remembers watching this one?

Whatever happened to saying “Trick or Treat” as soon as the door opens? Half of the kids just stand there like deer in the headlights. I’m still loading up everybody with candy but this is a time-honored tradition. Coach ‘em up, parents.

Roger Clemens' first start back at Fenway Park as a Blue Jay came on July 12, 1997, and he dominated his former team. Clemens went eight innings, allowed one earned run, struck out 16 and walked nobody in Toronto's 3-1 win. That's not a normal return to an old ballpark. Sixteen strikeouts against the franchise you just left makes the homecoming impossible to treat like another July start.
