All because she dares to have feelings for a boy. How dare Amy Rose have a crush on Sonic the Hedgehog while she can still be a badass with her hammer? A girl can still adore someone romantically and be a tough one at the same time. F*cking sexism.
SEGA removes Amy Rose's romantic feelings for Sonic from her Japanese character profile!
The official Japanese #Sonic Channel has updated Amy Rose's biography, removing all explicit references to her longtime crush on Sonic.
Her previous profile described her as a girl in love with Sonic who constantly chased him and even called herself his girlfriend, a character trait associated with Amy since her debut in 1993.
The new description takes a different approach, presenting her as an energetic, positive and courageous hedgehog who leads her friends and never backs down when they're in danger. It also highlights her Piko Piko Hammer and dedication to self-improvement.
Interestingly, Sonic is no longer mentioned anywhere in her main character description. The change has sparked discussion among fans, especially given how closely Amy's feelings for Sonic have been associated with her character for decades.
SEGA has not provided an official explanation for the rewrite.
What do you think about this change to Amy's characterization?

Ohhh this hurts man … this actually hurts …
In an attempt to flesh out her character, they removed the core as to what she was :( she’s allowed to like sonic!! It’s in no way reductive to her personality. Two things can co exist, I just don’t understand

This is what they took from us.
You don't have to make them a couple, but Amy's love for Sonic is what made her such a fun character. Now there's nothing; literally, like there's nothing in her bio that makes her stand out now.
Why can't we have nice things...?

She got FriendZoned let's be real this event changes nothing until Sonic and Amy Rose Kiss on the lips or admit their love SONAMY will never be Cannon also the Bio change came from Sega of Japan now Sega of America can do whatever the hell they want without any consequences

The SCU is NOT SEGA’s & Sonic Team’s game canon. The Sonic Lore Team has no say or influence on the #Sonic movies. The SCU is not bound to any list of so-called mandates. Sonic Team has no creative control or authority over Paramount’s Sonic Movies. Paramount, in partnership with SEGA of America, holds the rights to the SCU, not Sonic Team or the Sonic Lore Team.
Don’t wrongly assume that Paramount is going to ruin #SonicMovie4 & Movie #AmyRose’s character by presenting Movie Amy as some feminist independent boss queen who doesn’t need Movie Sonic. Paramount actors have said before that fans are going to love Movie Amy. Paramount wants everyone to love Movie Amy Rose, not wrongly hate her before even seeing the first movie trailer because of SEGA’s bad decisions with the Game Amy’s bio on Sonic Channel and never delivering on Game #Sonamy. Push for #MovieSonamy and trust that Paramount will deliver on it.
Movie Amy isn’t Game Amy. Paramount won’t interpret and write Movie #AmyRose’s character and backstory as a copy-paste of her game counterpart. The live action #Sonic movies aren’t Sonic Team’s games and Paramount doesn’t need Sonic Team’s approval for the directions they take the movies. Most of all, Paramount doesn’t need Sonic Team’s permission to make Movie Sonic and Movie Amy into an official couple in the Sonic Cinematic Universe. #Sonamy #SonicMovie4 #SonicMovie3

BREAKING🚨‼️ Sonic and Amy broke up 😭😭
