I’ve lost count of how many good people this movement has lost to the viciousness of FBA & their hangers on. Doxxing, harassment, attempts to get people fired, even efforts to have their children taken away. Just the vilest personal attacks imaginable.
And some of y’all are STILL at it, all while bragging about what you’re supposedly “building.”
We should all be open to criticism, even harsh criticism, but you can’t build a movement by destroying the people in it.

For the longest time this strategy has been used to avoid allowing us the same group specific representation as other groups. Avoidance by generalization or exclusion by over inclusion. Compare group specific language for others to weaponized targeted avoidance ONLY for us.
This is why we don’t need all of these council clowns. The corruption is not democratic, it’s a SOCIALIST move.
Austin City Council borrowed $566 million without asking voters.
That’s more than 60% of all the bonds the city has issued in the last decade — mostly to buy and fix buildings.
Every $100 million adds about $14 to the average property tax bill, plus tens of millions in interest.
They even used this method to revive projects cut from this November’s bond package.
Council Member Chito Vela: “I don’t know if it’s necessary, for example, to go back to the voters to get $10 million in sidewalk money.”
Voters rejected higher taxes last year. Council borrowed anyway.

We don’t have a team. Not Blue. Not Red. All we have are policies that improve (or harm) our lives & the lives of people in our community. That should be our focus.
Democrats deserve every bit of criticism I’ve leveled against them. They should’ve listened & adjusted.
They didn’t have historic #ADOS turnout because, instead of getting out the Black vote with a transformative Black agenda, as I suggested in 2019, they ran on NeverTrump. Instead of listening to our concerns over immigration, they called us xenophobic.
This election outcome was predictable, regardless of whether Kamala Harris had 3 months or 3 years.
But this was all after Biden dropped out late & Harris, an unpopular VP, was anointed.
It’s their fault that they lost. That’s 100% on them. I voted third party. I voted for *MORE* government than Dems had on offer.
Will Dems learn their lesson? We’ll see. But as #ADOS voters, we should understand which agencies, policies, & regulations benefit us & support them, regardless of who’s in office.
Remember that welfare got gutted under Bill Clinton & too many people didn’t notice because they were invested in party, not policy.
That should never happen again, but it requires more attention to politics than too many of us are willing to give.
That’s the message
I second this message. The Democratic Party lost its way in the early 2000’s.

Paperwork residents dominate the news. Original citizens request to close these FAILING schools because our children are being bullied, ignored and left behind. Our taxes are high as a giraffes ass and no one is accountable.
Parents are asking the Texas Education Agency to review how signatures were collected for a petition that could lead to the closure of Webb Middle School. kvue.com/article/news/educat…
Whew! Spot ON!!
Researching & came across this interview of the Urban League’s Whitney Young in 1964 where he discusses how problematic it is that athletes, artists and even writers like Baldwin are seen as experts.
Young says these celebrities react
to what is happening, but are not equipped to develop strategy to combat it.
🤦🏾♀️…just shameful!
You folks living in the @CFBISD should be begging the state to take over your school district ... You have now had SIX teachers criminally charged this year. There is something definitely NOT RIGHT in the management of your school district.

Political incompetence and charlatans are why Black American politics is in the toilet. We have political scientists, economists, historians, social scientists.
Please define “black feminism”. Could I have an example?
Me too…💅

He’s your leader. The only reason he insists he’s not is so he can avoid accountability and keep 100% of the money he gets from FBA. Y’all are dumb marks.

Austin paid more than $5 million to Workers Defense Project, an immigrant-rights group that also runs a political operation to get city officials elected.
In 2020, the group campaigned for Austin's Project Connect transit tax, which included $300 million for "anti-displacement."
Then it got $2 million of that money for "tenant and worker power."
Its PACs helped elect Council Members Fuentes, Velásquez and Siegel. Mayor Pro Tem Chito Vela used to chair its board.
DA José Garza used to run the group and drew a salary from it. The group's PAC backed Garza's 2020 campaign for DA.
So the group that helped put Austin's top prosecutor in office is the same group he used to run, and it's also collecting millions from the city.
Campaign for the tax, collect from the tax, elect your own people to spend it!

Kamala Harris is not beating this man.
Niv Agaram immigrated to the U.S. with her family about 20 years ago. After becoming a U.S. citizen, she first voted for President Trump and Vice President JD Vance. She asked Vance about the administration’s immigration policies and his rhetoric surrounding immigrants.
“I don't think it's unreasonable for an American citizen to want to share their community with people they have something in common with,” Vance said. “And I think our immigration system has to build that.
“Approved”??
Means FORCED payment without oversight.
More than half a billion dollars in debt. No public vote. Austin officials approved $566 million through certificates of obligation over the past three years.
