Happy to announce that I'm working with @AllbonesJones & @Redrustrain_RRR to create an official English version for Cradle of Nightmare: Flowers to You! The final version will be completely human-translated and should hopefully be of much higher quality than the current MTL.

The v0.2 English patch is out. Major changes: Items, skills, etc, completely reworked. Menu layout improved Observe skill translated. First ~10 maps professionally translated. Overhauls to in-setting terminology and names from developer feedback. youtu.be/2QFgtvQD2Ic

So, about the translation of EoSD New Classic (EoSDNC for short)! After I posted Reale's petition (Adopt Community Conventions for Official Touhou Translations) in my Discord server, some people asked to hear my thoughts, so here they are in image form. (Pastebin in replies)

Seeing a lot of people think this is about Gensoukyou vs Gensokyo. I'd like to clarify that this isn't about that, but rather the direction of the translation effort as a whole. I'd be doing the same thing if we'd been using Gensoukyou and the official translations used Gensokyo.

This petition is just a way to express how you would prefer official translations to be. If you, personally, would prefer they stick closer to the terminology we're used to, such as Gensokyo, Hakugyokurou, Eientei, etc, this petition is a way for you to express that.

Programmers look under their bed for evil translators telling them the UI won't fit a word and they need to rewrite the entire draw code

today's stupid cradle of nightmares code: 1) i need to create items within a window with dynamic widths based on the amount of text they have in them 2) bitmap.text_size only reads the text width after it's already written, so i can't know the width ahead of time jank solution?👇

No pay to win. No paid DLC. No 20$-100$ skins. No microtransactions. No early access. No deluxe/ultimate edition. No battle passes. Just... THE GAME.
