J. Cole explains why he places NO VALUE on the RESPONSE to his music from a fulfillment perspective:
“Writing is the #1 experience… Releasing the [music] is exciting but it’s nothing in comparison to the [Creation process]… The REACTIONS is at the Bottom of the pole— No fulfillment comes from that.”
Cole adds, “I know I’m only able to do this because God blessed me to do it. He sending me the words, I just have to be clear enough to hear them.. That’s the gratitude and that’s where I get fulfillment.”

J. Cole gives ADVICE to content creators:
“Quantity is more important than quality in this day & age… If you have superior taste in quality than me but I [produce] more in quantity, I will be further along than you in terms of results.”
He adds, “Just show up. You are the quality. The s*it could be shot on an iPhone— it’s the knowledge, breakdown, perspective and personality that’s going to cut through.”

J. Cole speaking on 2PAC:
“They don’t want to admit it but the purest, judgmental & uppity side of Hip Hop laughed at Pac & shunned him.. Coming into the rules of Hip Hop, I absorbed a lot of judgment. ”
Cole goes on to share how he became a better artist shedding that judgment he learned early.

Mannnnn. Thank yall for the love. For real!!!
Yesterday I had daddy duties that came before album release celebrations. Today I got my old civic (with the brand new engine) a tour bus and some sprinters. In the trunk of my car is boxes of The Fall-Off CD’s. As a teenager I had copies of the Fayettenam Bommuh’s album that Nervous gave me to sell. I used to go up to the gas stations trying to sell the album to strangers “yo you like hip hop??” Was the beginning of the sales pitch.
When I was working on this album I had the desire to go feel that feeling again, and that’s what I’m about to do. Trunk Sale Tour 26!! I don’t know where we bout to drive to, but catch me outside! Cop a CD from me or just show love. I truly appreciate all the love and the reaction to the music.
