I remember exactly where I was when I heard about the death of Thurman Munson. Stopped dead in my tracks and cried. It was my “where were you when you heard that Kennedy was shot” moment.

What’s the first World Series you can remember? For me, it’s 1978. I made my mom promise I could stay up till the end of each game if the Yankees made it. They did, and my wide seven-year-old eyes were glued to our 19-inch Zenith till the last out. Hooked me on baseball for life.
