research day - thinking of keeping my systematic research logs all on notion and then then transfer to word for thesis …researchers out there - has anyone used notion then word and did it work well? I like that in notion it’s backed up and less likely to corrupt etc ! #research

An incredible actor and also a wonderful human. I was fortunate to meet him at a United Nations Association event when I was on the Youth Council, but first and foremost he was always Jean-Luc Picard 😭 Time for a tea... Earl Grey, hot.

The first sign of a stroke might not seem like much, like not being able to raise your arm. Or struggling to smile. Or slurring when you speak. Any sign of a stroke is always an emergency. Face or arm or speech, at the first sign, it's time to call 999. #WorldStrokeDay

The real horror of Halloween. Artificial cobweb: a bit of fake fun for you, but a very real and terrifying death for them. If you see your neighbours using it, it's possible they don't know the danger so please print out this simple leaflet and pop it through their door: tinyurl.com/HalloweenHedgeho… The fine, strong synthetic fibres of this lethal 'web' are difficult for animals to see at dusk and can quickly wrap around their legs, wings, and neck, trapping and killing birds, insects and mammals. When Eden the hedgehog struggled to free herself the web tightened, cutting off circulation and causing deep wounds. Can you imagine the pain and sheer terror? And then seeing dawn approach, while hanging there, tightly bound and helpless, only an inch above the ground but suffering slow strangulation. Aside from being stressed, dehydrated, starving and exhausted, she also had horrific bite/peck wounds to her face, where she had been held there, helpless, unable to curl and defend herself, while a predator tried to eat her alive. Tragically her constriction injuries were too severe to survive, and poor Eden had to be put to sleep. If you have used this deadly cruel trap to 'decorate' your garden, I beg you - take it down now. Please spread this vital information, and help save lives.

I just saw on LinkedIn that the very great Melanie Fennell has passed away. What a great teacher and inspiration she has been to us therapists. At least once a month I have recommended her book on overcoming low self esteem, and how it has helped so many on their journey to viewing themselves differently and with more compassion. A great loss to our profession but her work lives on. @BABCP
