Interesting considering Lane Kiffin is 1-9 on the road against ranked SEC opponents as a head coach and has already lost on the road to Ole Miss and Kentucky this year.
Lane faced just 5 ranked opponents in his final 25 games at Ole Miss.
Pete Golding has faced 8 in his first 10. He’s won 5 of them.
Career record vs. Top 25:
Golding: 5-3 (62.5%)
Kiffin: 15-26 (36.6%)
But sure. Lane definitely wins that game in Austin.

This is actually kind of crazy because coaches are talking to “advisors” all the time about players that may wind up going into the portal.
I feel like about 500 other coaches could get hit for the same thing.
Tampering violations occurred in Ole Miss men’s basketball program; School failed to monitor athletics department when it did not disassociate booster involved in previous infractions case.

Peyton Manning stats that sound fake but aren’t:
Peyton Manning (2008-09) is the only QB in NFL history to have back-to-back seasons with 6+ 4th Qtr Comebacks/Game-Winning Drives.

My takes on game day in Oxford that no one asked for (it had been 13 years since I went and a lot has changed):
1.) The Grove (and The Circle) really is an awesome spot. People were nice and all of the banter I heard was friendly. I liked their fans a lot and some of the tailgates truly were amazing. The hospitality I received was top notch.
2.) The no open fire thing does suck (they know this and wish it was different but it’s just too big of a fire hazard with all of the trees). But being able to cook at your tailgate is definitely better.
3.) Yes, there are beautiful women and people dressed to the nines… but there are a lot of people dressed normally, too.
4.) I was told multiple times how amazing the Mizzou fan turnout was. People were saying it was right up there with the LSU turnout a few weeks ago (well done, Tiger fans).
5.) This isn’t game day related but the Square really is so cute. It’s a lot more compact than most of the other college town downtowns (that I’ve been to) but as to be expected with the population of Oxford. I wasn’t able to eat there except for breakfast on Sunday (due to wait times) but it’s a beautiful downtown!

Anyone entering VHS tomorrow, it is on us to affect Missouri’s offense every chance we get. There’s a reason Ole Miss is 24-1 at home in the last 3 years - the fans have gone from good to great. No opposing team can feel comfortable once they take the field in Oxford. #25-1

Ole Miss has a legitimate home field advantage:
- Ole Miss is 25-1 in its last 26 home games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
- Ole Miss now has 15 straight wins at home.
It’s very tough to win in Oxford. What a job by everyone involved in this program to make the atmosphere what it is today.
