Another HUGE play by Omar Cooper Jr. on a great throw by Geno Smith. Went for 60 yards. He will now go over 100 yards for the second straight game.

Marv first Texans TD. Ran the quick in-breaker from Z before taking it vertical to the back of the end zone. CJ Stroud with the perfect placement, like they're back in college.

With injuries in the Eagles' WR room, Makai Lemon is set up for a bigger role this week and maybe more. After a predictable slow start, I think the film has started to look better in recent weeks. I wrote up his RP charting notes for the tracker on the site, along with 40+ other WRs. Subscribers can read it here: receptionperception.com/2026…

With a Brian Thomas Jr. trade looking likely before the deadline, we saw in Week 6 the first signs of what might be an increase in Travis Hunter's WR reps 👀 Broke down what we saw from Hunter last week: - How it lined up with his prospect and Year 1 charting - Why rookie WR Josh Cameron's presence is key to all of this - Use on the key routes in this offense where Hunter is also at his best Watch the conversation with @JamesDKoh at the link below 👇

Josh Cameron gives the Jaguars the perfect player to rotate with Travis Hunter to get more WR reps over the course of the season
“I think it’s time to see more Travis Hunter at WR.” @MattHarmon_BYB breaks down Hunter’s ideal role in the Jaguars offense.

I was really impressed with Omar Cooper Jr. in his first full game as an NFL player 👀 I charted that game and noted: - Alignment at multiple spots - More vertical routes than you would have expected - Use in two-WR sets - Strong ball skills at the catch point Broke it down with @JamesDKoh at the link below 👇

When we discussed a BTJ trade in this episode, we brought up Washington as an idea since it would reunite him with his college QB. And that was before the Terry injury. Commanders aren’t competing this year but you can credibly sell this one as a short and long-view move.

We're 6 weeks into the season. So we have a sample size large enough to reexamine priors and strengthen convictions with positive evidence. With that, I sat down and talked through some of the updates I made to my dynasty WR rankings. Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=qe4bAugV…

Golden has been fantastic at the breakpoint of all the intermediate and downfield routes this season. This was a huge strength of his prospect profile.
Matthew Golden 2025 #ReceptionPerception Prospect Profile... Highlights: - 68.5% success rate vs. man coverage - 82.5% success rate vs. zone coverage - 83.3% contested catch rate - Excellent success on deep and intermediate routes Golden looks like an ideal and dangerous complement to a true No. 1 WR who lifts the ceiling of your offense. Talked about this quote on RP Show this week…he was right. 4-59 and a TD on what’s surely a clear uptick in snaps as a WR this week 👀
Travis Hunter on his first half catch: “It felt great, being able to go out there and make a play for the team, I wish I could do more but my time is coming.” #jaguars #duuuval #nfl #travishunter #fyp

Opened the notebook on the YouTube channel to discuss the trade that sent Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans 👀 - What his #ReceptionPerception charting data from Years 1 and 2 with the Cardinals showed - The dramatic change this year - How he'll fit in with the Texans and why MHJ being sent to this team with CJ Stroud really matters - Theories on what the Houston offense might look like the rest of the way - Updates on the in-season charting for Jaylin Noel and Nico Collins Watch and subscribe at the link below for the breakdown with @JamesDKoh and me 👇

A trade contingent on the Texans winning today’s game against the Titans. Houston could just spread the field with Nico, Marv and Noel, largely abandon their toothless run game, and put the offense in Stroud’s hands. Both Nico and MHJ are two guys I’ve wanted to see take fewer static X snaps in recent years. A lock that one now will.

Trade: the Arizona Cardinals have agreed to trade WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and 2027 7th-round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2027 2nd-round pick and 2027 6th-round pick, per @rapsheet and me.

It's pretty easy to argue that Parker Washington was the best open-field runner among WRs I charted in the 2025 NFL season for #ReceptionPerception. Saw it again on that 51-yard TD.

The Marvin Harrison Jr. trade won't free up many targets for Michael Wilson, since Marv wasn't getting many looks, but I do think it will give Wilson a slight bump in his usage at X-receiver. This is good news for Wilson because he can play Z, but his skill set is especially well suited to X on valuable routes like the slant and deeper stop routes. He is also a fantastic receiver in contested-catch situations, which matters a lot in that spot. Almost all of Wilson's #ReceptionPerception comps are top X-receivers at various points in their careers, including an elite match to 2024 Tee Higgins.

Three things are true at the same time regarding Marv: - He’s been disappointing by any measure relative to expectations - He was solid individually in his first two seasons - He hasn’t played close to this level for whatever reason through 4 games this season Maybe he gets back on track. I do not know.
