A big thank you to the volunteers at @reception_house for all that they do to support newcomers and refugees. They are a great show of how this region makes every moment matter when it comes to supporting people who are new to the region.

Three generations of the Afzaal family were taken from us one year ago today in London, Ont.
Four members of the family were killed in a horrific act of terror. Combating Islamophobia must be a national priority and hatred has no place in our 🇨🇦 communities.

"Our family did not choose war.
We did not choose to lose loved ones, our Syrian home or the life we had built sharing chocolate across the middle east.
No one chooses to be a refugee.
The chocolate in your hand is made possible because the people of Canada chose kindness.."🇨🇦❤️
