Michelle Lathrop from our Northeastern NY Chapter is on her way to Guam as that region braces for the third tropical cyclone since April. The Red Cross is moving disaster teams and supplies to Guam and the Northern Mariana Island ahead of the storm.

The six people who were displaced lived in the first-floor apartment. The American Red Cross is assisting them.
Six people were displaced after a fire on Coykendall Avenue in Syracuse on Thursday morning.
The Syracuse Fire Department responded to 106 Coykendall Ave. and found a two-story house but did not see smoke or fire immediately. However, upon further investigation, they found the fire on the house's exterior wall.
