Matt you're speaking objectively to a society that has been curated to believe in moral relativism and the idea that truth is merely subjective. Each person defines their own truth, which when paired with people validating emotions, lends to emotions governing truth. People who believe truth is subjective effectively see themselves as God, that they themselves establish the truest view, and no matter how much you show them objective truth that destroys their false perceptions, they will rebel and listen to their feelings. It feels way better to to believe a lie than it is a hard truth that requires humility. The Clancy trial is an obvious objective evil that demands justice and punishment. But our system has been usurped by people who consider feelings, emotions, and moral relativism to be the guiding lens. Look at the Tik Tok videos and millions raised for evidence. The Clancy trial is among many exposures to how far America has denied the value of objective truth. The only people who have faced consequences of this value shift that has caused utter destruction are victims, never perpetrators.
