Not a tiny preference. Something you genuinely believed, reconsidered and changed your mind about.
I think how people respond to this question says a lot about them.
Accountability shouldn’t depend on which political team you support.
If your side lies, call it out.
If your side fails, admit it.
If your side breaks the rules, stop pretending the rules were only important when someone else broke them.
Principles that disappear when your team is criticised aren’t principles. They’re merchandise.
British politics has become an endless cycle of:
A problem becomes impossible to ignore.
Ministers announce they’re taking it seriously.
Someone commissions a review.
The review recommends action.
Everyone argues about the wording.
The original problem carries on.
At this point, the photocopiers are doing more work than the government.
Feminism should be able to discuss female biology without embarrassment, male violence without euphemism, and women’s boundaries without demanding an apology.
If we can’t talk honestly about the realities women face, what exactly are we campaigning to change?
A woman’s boundary is not a group project.
You don’t need a committee to approve it.
You don’t need unanimous agreement.
You don’t need to prove that everyone else’s feelings are less important than your safety.
“No” is a complete sentence.
The discomfort it causes you is not my administrative burden.

This place can really get to you. Especially when all I’m trying to do is promote fairness and stop people from lying. It just magnifies the worst in people. Sometimes the best.

It’s interesting how often “you’re not allowed to have an opinion” actually means “you’re allowed to have an opinion, but I’m entitled to make you feel bad for having it.”
Free speech doesn’t mean freedom from disagreement.
And disagreement doesn’t automatically make someone a victim.
Women are constantly told to trust their instincts, speak up, report inappropriate behaviour and protect themselves.
Then, when a woman actually does any of those things, everyone suddenly becomes a barrister for the person she’s complaining about.
