Congratulations Steve! This is great news and look forward to more of The Czabe.
So this was wild. At my house, it’s just raining. Yet up the hill, less than 1/2 miles, full on winter. The deep Finger Lakes retain warmth, and that micro climate provides an extra degree or two of warmth that extends the growing season to allow the #FLX wines to grow.
An unexpected backyard harvest:
1. Painted boletes
2. Old man of the woods (also a bolete)
Both are edible, but on the “less than desired” list. Exploring some recipe ideas for later tonight, stay tuned.
The Great Range Traverse:
✅ 2:45 am start
✅ 7 guys
✅ Sunrise on Mount Marcy
✅ 8 ADK High Peaks
✅ 22+ miles
✅ 8000+ feet of vertical
✅ 16 hours
DONE!
Polyphemus moth. The eyespots give it its name – from the Greek myth of the cyclops Polyphemus.
