Looking forward to reading this @CDP1882 …. You’ve done more than almost anyone I know to keep the spotlight on this national shame and have done a huge amount to keep the spotlight shining on it! Onwards and upwards xx
GROOMING GANGS: THE MAKING OF A NATIONAL DISGRACE 🚨 I'm excited to announce that my first book will be published by Forum in February 🚨 It will trace the scandal's origins, why the gangs flourished, and how they are still operating today.

‘Do you think people wake up and work at 5am to fund schools abroad?!’ Laila Cunningham spars with Kevin Craig over foreign spending, asking whether there is any accountability for the taxpayer money spent overseas.

The Tories betrayed Britain with the Boriswave. Labour is driving up immigration numbers even more. Only Reform UK will deliver net negative migration. ✅

A Reform government will immediately review every citizenship granted as a result of Labour's watering down of settlement reforms. We will not let Labour bake in the costs of the Boriswave. We will put the British people first.

🚨 BREAKING: Reform GAIN in Runcorn! Neil Thornton is our new councillor for Beechwood and Heath — the only ward in Runcorn we didn’t win in May. Huge congratulations to Neil and our fantastic local volunteers, who haven’t stopped working since our last by-election victory in this neck of the woods. Thank goodness it was by more than six votes this time! 😅

Alastair Campbell attacked me for having a “status symbol bodyguard” at Question Time. I would give anything to be able to go back in time and give my friend and colleague Ann Widdecombe a bodyguard.

'Can you imagine if a Reform person said something like that?' Zia Yusuf points out the hypocrisy of Alastair Campbell's comments on Question Time that Yusuf stood more chance of captaining the Sri Lankan cricket team than becoming Home Secretary.

Labour are only raising the personal allowance to £13,036 for pensioners, whilst scrapping the triple lock. Reform UK will raise it to £15,000 for EVERYONE, retired or working. This will give every household an extra £1,000 a year. ✅

No. The British people do not want Gazan students. Most, if not all, will have been taught to hate Jews since the crib. We have a crisis of antisemitism - we should not be endangering more British Jews.

If HMRC are allowed to take money from individuals’ bank accounts, as proposed in the budget today, then we are heading to a dark place. This tool could be used against anyone deemed to be a threat by the government of the day.
🚨 NEW: John Healey is set to announce the following in his Budget later - The gas standing charge will be scrapped to save £27 a year on a typical bill - Green levies on energy bills will be scraped "for good" - NHS prescription charges will be frozen at £9.90 for another year - Poorer households on benefits will receive extra help with energy bills before January's sharp rises - The VAT cut on electricity bills, which was due to expire in April, will be extended (though it's not clear if this will be announced in the Budget or separately) - The Government will remove the link between gas and electricity prices, which currently inflates household bills, "in the long term" - Banks will face higher taxes, with the surcharge on their profits potentially rising from 3% to 8%, making it the Budget’s biggest revenue raiser - HMRC will be given powers to seize money from the bank accounts of people who fail to pay their tax - The freeze on rail fares will reportedly not be extended beyond April - Online retailers like Amazon, eBay and Temu will be made responsible for collecting unpaid VAT from sellers to fund a cut in business rates for high street shops - The thresholds for income tax will be frozen again so another half a million people may be dragged into the higher rate - January's planned increase in fuel duty will be cancelled - Pensioners relying solely on the state pension will see their tax-free allowance rise to £13,036, in line with the pension increase, so they don't pay income tax - Billions in long-term borrowing to invest in defence firms and raise the share of GDP spent on defence (without breaking fiscal rules, as the investments are expected to generate returns) - The upcoming "Your First Home" scheme will be made more generous to provide greater support for middle-income earners - The Budget will also assume the Rosebank oil field is approved, which will generate "significant tax revenues"
