Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones. As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true. In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians. But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work. In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield. We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.

Ukrainians keep showing enormous courage in defending their country against Putin’s immoral and indeed evil efforts to conquer a neighbor. They have resisted now for four years and eight months and we should do all we can to help them.

One NHS Highland worker has been receiving their full salary and benefits for 17 YEARS despite not having a specific job anymore. The health board refused to say what the worker had been doing for almost two decades and how much they had been paid over that period:
Major investigation from The Sunday Times - the Scottish state is paying a minimum of £27m a year to around 800 public sector workers, in the NHS, councils, police etc who do not have a job, but they cannot be made redundant owing to SNP policy thetimes.com/uk/scotland/art…

In France, they riot and loot "for Palestine." In the Middle East, they kill "for Palestine." The Islamic regime in Iran attacks Jews, Christians, and Muslims "for Palestine." Hamas committed the October 7 genocide in Israel "for Palestine." At some point, perhaps we should stop asking where the problem is and start noticing the rather obvious pattern. The clue has been repeated four times.

With warnings that Britain may face power shortages and even blackouts, I thought it might be worth resharing this thread from last year showing my analysis linking high energy prices, stagnating living standards and productivity weakness to a twenty year decline in electricity supply caused by the destruction of existing capacity. Critics of my research repeatedly argue that the UK does not, in fact, have a structural supply shortage - I truly hope the lights don’t have to go out for them to have a light-bulb moment. @MerrynSW @John_Stepek

Over the last two years, $100 million in European taxpayer money has gone to Elon Musk to pay for Starlink for Ukraine. In that same period, zero US taxpayer money has gone to Ukraine.
Replying to @elonmusk
And some of that US taxpayer money comes back through multiple laundry machines to fund political campaigns in America, which is why you see some politicians caring more about Ukraine than America!

Almost 20 years ago (but after the GFC), in my Moscow posting, I was being driven in my car with with my senior (ex-GRU) local, & an intern (father then a senior Russian diplomat) Was outlined to me how Putin’s 2nd presidential term was focused on how to get revenge on the west
On a television channel closely aligned with Macron, "experts" are claiming that the unrest in France was organized and carried out by right-wing extremists and French nationalists.

The UK government has, since April, spent no less than £61 billion - that’s £61,000,000,000 - on debt interest payments. That’s equivalent to our entire annual defence budget - on just half a year’s worth of debt service costs, not paying back a penny of our national debt. For £61bn you could build 40 state-of-the-art hospitals. Or employ 100,000 nurses for a decade Or fund free-at-the-point-of-use social care, across the entire UK, for three years. Watch this short “When The Facts Change” video for more on the UK’s soaring debt interest bill - the biggest national scandal our mainstream media continues to ignore.
