It's difficult to avoid everyone's highlight reel on social media: a promotion, an accomplishment, a milestone, a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but start to notice whether their good fortune automatically becomes a judgment about your own progress.

There is no guaranteed rate of return in life satisfaction, but there are good reasons to invest consistently over the long run.
Our lives are defined not by what we have but what we give - on what and whom we spend our energy and time, how we share our material possessions and our mental powers, what we do with our gifts.
Today, look around at the people God has placed in your life. Thank God for sending them to walk beside you, and then go tell those people how much they mean to you. Send a text, write a short note, give them a call, or visit them in person to thank them for who they are!
A useful life is built through the next conversation, the next decision, and the next piece of work.
Some problems deserve far less space in your head. A stranger’s bad mood does not need to follow you home. A missed opportunity does not need to become a permanent story about what your life could have been.
Time moves on without asking whether you have finished worrying.
