Midland Academy Charter School K-5 teachers spent their first day back learning about the Bluebonnet RLA Product. Teachers were attentive and eager to learn how to use the new product to help their students become better readers.

Exciting news! We're thrilled to announce our first Region 18 Spanish Spelling Bee 📷! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their Spanish spelling skills, build confidence, and have fun in a supportive environment.
We had the opportunity to host our first iLead Parent Session of the school year, with Burnet Elementary this week. We are excited to continue this amazing work with the parents of Midland ISD. Thank you for joining us and we look forward to seeing you at our next session.
On August 28, 2024, Region 18 hosted its inaugural Amazing Race: Federal Programs Summit, sponsored by Brainchild. Participants were treated to testimonials from Ms. Liz Murry and Mr. Ernesto Majia regarding homelessness and the importance of parent and family engagement.
A partnership was formed with Texas Education Service Centers, Texas Woman’s University, Texas Education Agency, and local educational entities to provide a master's degree program for both in-field and out-of-field students.

Spent some time this morning with Region 18 teachers providing some practical activities to support writing in response to text in their classrooms daily! We wrote, we collaborated and most importantly they learned from each other not just from us!
