There was this neighbour who had been secretly monitoring my movements for weeks.
She knew when I left for work, when I returned home, and even the days I usually went to the market.
One afternoon, she noticed I had left home in a hurry.
She waited for a while, checked her surroundings and quietly sneaked into my room.
Unfortunately for her, she didn't know I would return home earlier than expected.
While she was busy searching through my wardrobe, she heard the sound of my front door opening.
She froze.
I walked straight into my room and found her standing beside my wardrobe with a handbag in one hand and some jewellery in the other.
For a few seconds, neither of us spoke.
Then I asked, "What exactly are you looking for in my room?"
She started stammering.
"I came to check if you were around."
I looked at the handbag she was holding and asked, "So you came to check if I was around with my jewellery?"
The most painful part?
She had been borrowing salt and Maggi from me o and I never for once said no 🙂↔️
