NOBODY is connecting the dots on these Gen Z protests. India. France. Spain. Chile. Different signs. Same problem. Young people can't get hired. Can't afford rent. Can't afford a house. Can't see a future. At the same time, AI is quietly deleting the jobs they were supposed to start with. Entry-level hiring has COLLAPSED since 2024. You can't tell a generation to "work hard" when the first rung of the ladder is gone. The streets are the only place left. Follow + 🔔. This is going global.

Of all the negative impacts of generative AI, I think the most haunting may be the way it revealed that a significant number of people have seemingly no emotional attachment to the art they consume whatsoever. For some reason that part in particular is really upsetting to me.

I am not joking when I say this. Spotify, Apple Music, and streaming in general is over. AI music is now very, very good. You just don't know yet because all AI music circulating today is from ~2-3 generations ago. Suno v6 pro et al has solved infinite personalized music.

It's incredibly important to aggressively resist the idea that AI can be conscious or have "personhood," not only because it's as ridiculous as believing that a book can think, but because once this is accepted, "AI's interests" will very quickly be prioritized over humanity.

This is their progress naturally over 10 years. I have seen people who put in dedicated effort daily do stuff like this in 1-2 years. The real barrier to learning to draw is discipline. You dont need AI. You just have to stick with it.

i was 14 when i started this, and it's taken years of practice to get where i am now if you think you need some innate ability or genetic predisposition to draw, i'm happy to tell you that you actually just need to pick up the pencil and do it

For the love of God just practice drawing instead of trying to pass off AI garbage as your own. Sure your art looks “better” but when you’re caught you’ll be seen as a loser. And people won’t easily forget either.
