I am so done with Russians meddling in our business. STOP USING the struggles and pain of Arabs like me for your filthy Russian propaganda. Ukrainian defenders ARE fucking heroes, as are those meeting adversity with bravery, positivity, not giving up their spirit and hope for a better future for their children on both Israeli and on Palestinian land. Hamas got bought by Russia, sent on nice first class flights to and from Moscow, THEY targeted civilians knowing full well the repercussions. Both Russia and Hamas are terrorist best friends that deserve each other. STOP claiming you speak for the Arab world we want nothing to do with you
Unfortunately the same applies to our current Iran-alligned Iraqi government. Iran is responsible for a lot of evil. Now I am watching this English woman criticising the war in Iraq on Amazon Prime, claiming to be on the side of humanity. Why did all these people who were marching in protest of the Iraq war or, as I saw it, marching for the continued genocide of a dictator against his own people, not look around and fucking notice that NO IRAQIS WERE MARCHING WITH THEM??? Plenty of us in London. Nonetheless the problem with a democracy can be the choices people make. I hope that we make a better choice next time than this crappy basically IRANIAN government we have at the moment. By the way Iraq is not = Iran. We speak different languages and stuff.

Having participated and spoken out myself in rallies I condemned the October 7th attacks myself and saw others including Palestinians from Gaza do the same. Just because it got no coverage does not mean it did not happen. Whereas I have not seen one Palestinian in any of these rallies speak out in public in support of Hamas (though I can accept that some might have, there are deluded people on both sides). I hate Hamas and so do all my Palestinian friends who are upset with Hamas for the October 7th attacks that had the highly predictable effect of devastating Gaza, following I should add, all of Hamas's cozy meetings with Putin. They are working for Russia not for Arabs.

There seem to be a lot of headlines like this lately - about both Ukraine and Israel/Palestine. I think there are editors slipping in their own bias wrapped up as impartiality. But we all know they’re talking bollocks. It’s like writing “Hitler bombs Bristol in retaliation for Dresden attacks by Britain”. They should be reporting as a continuation of a war started by Russia, not writing it as though the beginning/catalyst event was Ukraine attacking Russia (which is itself the retaliation for Russia’s ongoing unprovoked instigation of war).
"RUSSIA CONTINUES TO STRIKE UKRAINE IN RETALIATION FOR THE BELEGRADE STRIKES" is the slogan that keeps popping up on BBC News. An utterly absurd statement. So what are you saying? It's self defense? Tit for tat? So what? UKRAINE started it. What are you saying @bbcnews
Can someone please look into who is writing these headlines and why they are being either overworked enough, dumb enough or worse pro-Russian enough to be spouting propaganda that works in Russia's interests?

My wishes for 2024?
(1) Every Russian Boot to be out of Ukraine
(2) Netanjahu is replaced by someone with some sense
(3) The civil war in Israel (why don't we call it that?) is brought to an end, and a peaceful resolution is found finally as apartheid never works in the long run
(4) Hamas is wiped off the face of the earth (newsflash: Hamas is not right now working in Arab or Palestinian interests, only Russia's interests) but without such gratuitous casualties as we have been seeing. And the misery of ALL the children affected by this is utterly heartbreaking to see
(5) I have one more wish but plan to wait unti at least February to tell you what it is ....

Can we start calling it a liberation rather than an invasion of Iraq? I feel sad when people talk about it as a mistake. Mostly these people are not Iraqi. I have yet to meet an Iraqi who doesn't feel that on balance the war was worth it, who would like to have Saddam back.
In other news - protest this Saturday.... if there is going to be any terrorism it won't be Hamas or militant Islamists, but there is a possibility that someone else with an interest eg Russians might do something to blame it on us Arabs. So I hope @metpoliceuk keep an eye out for this...
