Ok, I promised a thread, so here we go! For a long time, people have looked at $GALA in fundamentally the wrong way - people have seen what we are doing as a gaming token (and we started with that public trajectory with games, so that is fair), but as time has gone by, we have grown into larger and better directions. So, today, I am going to kick off a thread explaining a few things you might not know about the $GALA and #GalaChain ecosystems. Here are a few facts: We are the largest contributor to IPFS’s DHT table structure by a LONG shot. This means that, whether they know it or not, most of #web3 actively depends on the whole $GALA community to keep running their Founder’s Nodes. Your favorite pfp project probably has data routed through our ecosystem, whether they know it or not. What does this mean? It means that $GALA is not only a gaming token for a the @GoGalaGames ecosystem (and amazing games like @Last_Expedition, @TWDEmpires, @MirandusGame etc), the gas for our kickass L1 #GalaChain (and every kickass project built there, whether @GoGalaMusic and the whole $MUSIC ecosystem or projects like $VGX on GalaChain), but also one of the largest #DePIN projects in existence. The magnitude of this fact will become increasingly clear in the near future, but #GalaChain and the whole $GALA ecosystem are here to power the future of the internet. We aren’t just a little flash in the pan bullshit crypto project - we are building the future together. I can’t wait for people to realize what has been built throughout this whole bear market. You build during the winter so that when spring comes, you can explode out to reach new audiences and heights of utility for the whole ecosystem. - Streaming content from the world’s largest and most performant node ecosystem - check. - Building an infrastructure that can scale to handle 5m simultaneous web2-style video streams - check. - Create a point-and-click Creators Portal to allow people to deploy to #GalaChain without any stress, bringing #web2 ease and simplicity to #web3 - check. - Create a decentralized VoD system that can handle some of the largest demands out there - in a way that completely negates the need for centralized storage. - check. The next few weeks are going to be interesting - there are some new things soft-launching, some audit reports nearing completion, and some community initiatives ramping into high gear. We will brook no bullshit and accept no barriers in our path to redefine this whole industry. We invite everyone to come along and build with us and alongside us. You can run with us, you can follow us, or you can get out of the way. There is no fourth option. By the way, this isn’t a “everything has to be on GalaChain” thing - we very much believe the future is multi-chain, and we believe that there is more than enough room in this industry for everyone. Let's build something amazing together! Tag your favorite project you want to see build with #GalaChain and two friends. Gonna give away some goodies!

Just learned about Leila Steinberg, President of @GoGalaMusic (@galaleila on X, follow her!), presentations on @GoGalaMusic at both @Harvard_Law and @harvardmus. Can't wait to see the video! I am so proud of all that is happening in the $GALA ecosystem!
