AI agents are making it easier for bots and crooks to impersonate you online and gain access to your accounts. Congress and regulators must step up their game to harden our financial system against these vulnerabilities.

We also need to harden our cybersecurity perimeter against agent swarms capable of rapidly exploiting software vulnerabilities. I plan to introduce legislation in the coming weeks to help equip financial regulators and institutions with secure, open-source tools to monitor financial risks in real time.

I am deeply disturbed by reports of a mass shooting plot targeting a Hindu temple in Aurora. Everyone deserves to worship in peace and safety, and no one should live in fear of being targeted because of their faith or ethnicity.
