The Trump administration has used DHS and weaponized the courts to persecute dissenters like Mahmoud Khalil for exercising their First Amendment rights and speaking truth to power. Through his case, the administration seeks to undermine our constitutional rights, including our rights to Habeas Corpus and due process.
I stand with Mahmoud, as he courageously takes the fight to the Supreme Court to challenge the administration's violation of our constitutional rights.
In the courts, in the streets, and in Congress, we demand the federal government respect EVERYONE's constitutional rights. We do not accept that we must surrender our rights in the name of "security," because fascism ALWAYS requires a public enemy.

The government knows all too well that its baseless allegations and smears against me cannot survive the slightest scrutiny in federal court. That’s why it is doing everything it can to keep those courts from looking at my case and to channel it into its kangaroo immigration courts.
So the question is simple: can the government weaponize immigration laws to punish someone's speech, then tell federal courts they have no power to step in?
If the answer is yes, none of our speech is safe. If the Trump administration can punish someone for pro-Palestine speech, this or any future administration can punish anyone for any speech.

➤ WFP is reducing its monthly reach from 1.6 million people to 1.1 million. Families receiving two food parcels will now get one, and flour bags will shrink.
