From command staff to officers, detectives, dispatchers, and support staff, every person had a role in the response to the tragic shooting at Brown University.

#BREAKING: The FBI and @ProvidenceRIPD are releasing new images of a person of interest in the mass shooting at Brown University on 12/13/25. The #FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual. Administered by the RI Foundation and funded through a $5 million investment from Delta Dental of Rhode Island, this initiative provides eligible Rhode Island dentists with student loan repayment assistance of up to $20,000 per year for up to three years.

The General Assembly today approved legislation introduced by @RepJoeSolomon and @LoriUrsoRI that would help internationally trained physicians acquire medical licenses by eliminating barriers such as repeating residency programs.
“Many talented foreign physicians face an assortment of bureaucratic hurdles in practicing medicine in America, including having to repeat residency, costly licensure requirements, and increasing restrictions,” said Rep. Solomon (D-Dist. 22, Warwick). “As the physician shortage worsens, we need to tap into this skilled pool of professionals to strengthen our medical community with multilingual, culturally competent physicians — especially in underserved communities.”
