Thank you to Congressman Kennedy! I opened a bill file on this issue in May. In June, I asked the Utah Privacy Commission to address concerns around collection, use, retention, and sharing of your data. They report September 30.

I asked for an in depth review of license plate reader concerns two months ago—long before most people were paying attention. My concerns have only increased in the interval.
A few weeks ago, I met with the #UtahPrivacyCommission over concerns around automatic license plates readers, outlined in this letter. I’m grateful for their willingness to research and looking forward to their report!

The ripple effects of HB402 Food Additives in Schools (2025) continue! This bill was the impetus for a major national paradigm shift and a first step in encouraging adults to think twice about food and its impact on children’s learning and quality of life.
Public safety exists to protect constitutional freedoms. We need better guardrails around use of technology.
Utah’s Granite School District has demonstrated over the past 4 years that we can afford to serve healthy food to our children. In fact, we can’t afford not to.
A group funded by soda companies is relentlessly arguing that we can’t afford to serve healthy food to children in schools.
They are arguing because of “affordability” concerns, we must continue serving kids Doritos, doughnuts, and low-quality chicken nuggets every day.
Every American should be outraged by this argument.
We never had a funding problem with school lunches or military food. We have a corruption problem where Big Food saw the military and schools as piggy banks for junk food (as they openly and brazenly described on earnings calls)
Soldiers get a meal card for $39 a day for food. Through political will and busting through bureaucracy, the Army is now able to serve fresh salmon, roasted tomatoes, watermelon, and rice for $11.45 - all while making the vendor (in this case Compass) money.
When it comes to schools, the United States currently spends more per student on lunch than almost any developed country in the world. Japan spends 40% less per student on school food and the country barely grows food - yet the comparisons between what they serve children and we do in schools should make every American embarrassed.
Thank God we finally have an admin the has channeled the concerns of moms and is taking on the ridiculous argument that have enough money to not poison our children and soldiers will be dismissed out of hand. We just didn’t have political courage before.

Google is trying to normalize biometrics one recovery option at a time.
They now want a short video of your face turning side to side, stored on their servers, so you can get back into your account. Encrypted at rest, they say. They still hold the key.
Passkeys and hardware keys already solve this without ever seeing your face. Google added the face scan anyway. That’s how the weird becomes normal.

The Ceuta invasion is being coordinated by Facebook groups. @finkd
The flagship group description: "Ceuta by every route #hraga_ceuta — Migration is an idea, and the idea does not die."
There are countless posts soliciting people to go with others. This is in clear violation of the Facebook ToS that prohibits content "offers to provide or facilitate human smuggling" or content that asks for "asks for human smuggling services."
The groups that must be banned are:
• Hraga Ceuta 🚢 — 124,639 · 231/day → /groups/749906839376195/
• Hraga Ceuta 🇪🇸 — 36,272 · 186/day → /groups/1302645485013793/

🚨#BREAKING: TENS OF THOUSANDS OF MOROCCAN MIGRANTS ARE BREACHING THE BORDERS OF THE SPANISH CITY OF CEUTA RIGHT NOW.
THIS IS INSANE.
Even without all of this, kids can be playing outdoors, doing art, science, or building projects, and reading great books, all of which will serve them well.

“Less than 400” noncitizens voted. These noncitizens have now committed a felony and are ineligible to become citizens. Congress must fix the motor voter system.
Last week I learned that a serious software error in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle System led to the registration of roughly 6,600 people who indicated that they were not U.S. citizens between June 2023 and June 2024, almost three years prior to my taking office. These individuals answered "no" when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers' licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway.
This happened under the previous administration and, upon learning this information, I immediately ordered my chief counsel to launch an investigation to get to the bottom of what occurred. I also ordered the removal of any residents from our voter rolls who were erroneously added between June 2023 and June 2024. The new MVC Administrator that I appointed has begun the process of replacing the vendor responsible for administering the system.
Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted. They were registered as Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated voters and were scattered across the state.
I want to underscore how seriously I take this matter. As a military veteran who swore an oath to defend our Constitution, and as a former federal prosecutor, I believe the integrity of our elections is fundamental to our democracy. I am appalled by the reckless failures that allowed this to happen and the lack of transparency shown by those in charge at the time. This failure didn’t occur under my watch, but accountability starts now. I am taking action to prevent anything like it from occurring in the future and make sure those responsible are held accountable.
As the Trump Administration tries to weaponize elections for political gain, I am ensuring we protect our elections. Let me be clear: Donald Trump has zero credibility on the issue of election integrity. For more than ten years, he has worked to undermine Americans' faith in our elections by spreading lies about legitimate election results, attempting to overturn a free and fair election, encouraging an attack on our Capitol when he couldn't accept the will of the voters, and defunding election security at the federal level.
The difference is simple: when we find a problem, we don't hide it, deny it, or invent conspiracies. We investigate it, we fix it, and we tell the public. That's what accountability and good governance look like, and that's exactly what my administration is doing.
New Jerseyans should have confidence that every eligible citizen can vote, every lawful vote will be counted, and every reasonable step will be taken to protect the integrity of our elections. That's my responsibility, and it's one I will never stop fighting to uphold.
This money has the potential to make some huge, beneficial changes for Utah!
After more than a year of work, we've secured more than $50 million over the next five years to expand local food processing across Utah. This has been a top priority, and I'm grateful to be working with the Trump Administration, especially @SecKennedy and @SecRollins, to make it happen.
A huge thank you as well to Rep. @tiara4utah and Rep. @RepKChevrier, who have been great partners in advancing this effort.
This is a win-win for Utah families and our farmers and ranchers. More Utahns want to know where their food comes from, buy local, and support the farmers and ranchers who feed our communities. This investment will help make that possible by creating more opportunities for Utah producers to process and sell their products closer to home.
We learned an important lesson during COVID: relying on a handful of large processing facilities leaves both families and producers vulnerable. By investing in local food processing, we're strengthening our food supply, supporting rural communities, making our state more resilient, and building healthier local economies.
When agriculture succeeds, Utah succeeds.
