So I dove into the evidence for Christianity's uprising on @MorningWire, looking at these new, more muscular, masculine expressions of the faith and exactly what is drawing young men back to church.

➔ Shows like The Chosen and House of David capturing hearts nationwide.
➔ A growing hunger for truth, meaning, and hope.

Thank you, Lieutenant Governor @willainsworthAL for your leadership on this. Also, thank you for calling out those who would bow to this kind of pressure.
The reason that private schools, Christian schools, and home schools are exploding in enrollment all across our state and states all around the United States is because of this kind of engagement.
In Mobile, our three kids have gotten exceptional, academic training at a fraction of what’s appropriated per student to our public schools.
We pay twice to avoid the activism that we see here, once through our taxes and another through private school tuition.
When you reintroduce this legislation next year, I’d be 100% on board with any effort to also increase the amount of money designated for school choice so that the many many many of parents like us don’t have to subsidize this type of lobbying and anti-Christian bias and…so that parents in every public school, especially failing public schools can choose to leave that type of activism for a school of their choice by directing their tax money to fund schools that put kids before lobbyists pushing anti-Christian discrimination.
The Republican State Senate, Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter, and I supported a bill allowing public school students to take off-campus Bible study classes as an elective, but lobbyists for the Superintendents and School Board associations, which oppose the measure, blocked its passage in House committee today.
No taxpayer dollars of any kind would have been used, and identical electives are being offered in more than a dozen other states and serving thousands of students.
The legislators who allowed paid lobbyists to influence their committee votes on such a simple, commonsense issue should be ashamed.
Students are already permitted to leave campus for any number of programs, such as career tech training that hones their skills and builds their talents, so I believe we should also allow them to leave for Bible instruction that hones their faith and builds their character.
I’m going to make sure that this legislation is introduced again and again and again until our students are given this elective option.

55 YEARS AGO TODAY: Christmas Eve, 1968. As one of the most turbulent, tragic years in American history drew to a close, millions around the world were watching and listening as the Apollo 8 astronauts—Frank Borman, Jim Lovell and Bill Anders – became the first humans to orbit another world.
As their command module floated above the lunar surface, the astronauts beamed back images of the moon and Earth and took turns reading from the book of Genesis, closing with a Christmas wish for everyone “on the good Earth.”
I watched this live on TV as a 12 year old child, and still cherish that memory at a turbulent time in my life. It gave me hope, and I hope it gives you hope as well.
