Marsha & Republicans have had complete control of TN for decades. What do they have to show for it?
- record-high costs, chaos & corruption
- last in the nation for public education funding
- last in the nation for quality of life
Help is on the way. Vote for TN Democrats.
Help is on the way, Tennessee.

The President is already using every tool at his disposal to intervene in our elections this November. And the authoritarian playbook is very clear. When you're at risk of losing, you either make up a threat that only you can protect the American people from or find a way for federal law enforcement or the military to seize ballots or voting machines.
If you hear in the next few days that there is a new security threat that you've never heard of that requires federal law enforcement or the military, an alarm bell should go off in your brain.
Do not let him get away with that.

Seneca warned that Rome’s bloody spectacles corrupted the people who watched them. A civilization erodes when it cultivates an appetite for executions as a form of entertainment.
Secretary Hegseth’s plan to livestream the Fort Hood execution risks feeding that appetite. The victims deserve justice administered with solemnity. Broadcasting a death diminishes us and is not an effective deterrent. I urge him to reconsider.

I have been very clear on President Trump's authoritarian playbook and the very real threats to our democracy here in America. But recently, I visited Poland and Hungary, and I saw firsthand how they have quite literally taken the playbook to fight an authoritarian — a people’s playbook — and dusted it off to make it more relevant for the 20th century.
This gave me real sparks of hope and crystallized how I think about our challenges here at home because America is not a country that cowers. We’re not at our end. We will get out of this. We will not give up the ship.

Nancy Lancy's 81 years old in Jesup. Her husband died after years of dementia. She was worn out and alone, and now her affairs as a widow were all wrapped up in this bureaucratic labyrinth, from the VA to the IRS and Social Security. So we took care of things for her. And I'll never forget what she said about it. She said, "This was a new experience, to have someone caring about me."
How has it come to pass that for so many Americans, the experience of genuine care is rare and surprising?
