This summer, I’m encouraging students across Florida’s 7th District to pick up a book and join the Mills Summer Story Quest! Elementary and middle school students who read and log at least 5 books over summer break will receive a Congressional Certificate of Recognition and a free book from the Library of Congress Surplus Books Program. The top 3 students who read the most grade-level books will also receive a special recognition award from my office. Summer is the perfect time to grow your imagination, strengthen your skills, and discover a love of learning. I hope students across FL-07 will join the challenge and make reading part of their summer adventure!

On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we honor the American heroes who were prisoners of war and those still missing in action. We will never forget their sacrifice, their service, or the families who continue to wait for answers. We remain committed to bringing every missing American home. You are not forgotten.

The House has already passed the SAVE America Act. Now it’s time for the Senate to act. Americans deserve elections that are secure, transparent, and trusted. With more than 633,000 non-citizens reportedly on voter rolls from Maricopa County, Congress must act decisively to restore confidence in our elections by ensuring only U.S. citizens vote in federal elections. A major win for Volusia County. After years of delays, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has approved a NEW START for a fully federally funded feasibility study to develop long-term hurricane and storm damage reduction solutions for Volusia County’s beaches. This is a historic step toward protecting our families, homes, businesses, and the $4.3 billion economy our beaches support. After the devastation of Hurricanes Ian and Nicole, we couldn’t afford to wait any longer. I’ll keep fighting to deliver the long-term solutions Florida’s coastline deserves.

President Trump has consistently pursued peace through strength. America is strongest when we deter our adversaries, hold them accountable, and make clear that attacks on our interests will have consequences. Peace is preserved through strength, not appeasement.

House Republicans did their job by passing the SAVE America Act. Now it’s up to the Senate to put trust back into our elections. It’s time to get the job done.

The House passed the FY2027 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), delivering critical wins for Central Florida’s servicemembers, veterans, military families, and defense industry. I know our warfighters need the resources, technology, and support to succeed. The American people deserve representatives whose only investment is in the success of this country.

Today, the House passed the Fiscal Year 2027 National Defense Authorization Act, a critical step in ensuring America maintains the strongest and most capable military in the world. This year’s NDAA strengthens our national defense by rebuilding the defense industrial base, investing in next-generation technologies, improving military readiness, and providing our servicemembers with the resources and support they need. At a time when adversaries continue to challenge American interests, we must ensure our military has the tools, capabilities, and strategic advantage necessary to deter threats and protect our nation.
