43 years ago today, 220 Marines, 18 Sailors, and 3 Soldiers were killed in the Beirut barracks bombing carried out by Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorists.
It marked the deadliest single-day loss for U.S. Marines since the Battle of Iwo Jima during WWII.

🚨Safety Alert: Now is the time for Congress to raise the Pilot Age for Commercial Pilots. The American people expect Congress to keep experienced pilots flying.
Currently, commercial pilots get FIRED by Congress at the age of 65 with NO data to support firing these experienced aviators.
The mandatory retirement age of 65 for commercial pilots must change. Congress should raise the age to 67 or eliminate it altogether. Several countries around the world have done so with no evidence that their decision has compromised aviation safety.
Raising the mandatory pilot age has bipartisan support in Congress.

The Regional Airline Association (RAA) also supports raising the age limit with many other aviation safety experts.
Question for you: Why is @SecDuffy against raising the age? What is his motivation? I suspect a lack of understanding on his part.
President Trump’s pilots who fly Trump Force One are over 65 years old. Why? Because President Trump wants the most experienced pilots flying him and his family around the country with safety as his number 1 priority.
The American people deserve the same!
