After much discussion we have decided not to reopen the cafe until next year. In January we will review the latest health & safety guidelines and when we feel it is safe and sensible we will restart. In the mean time do please share your repair jobs as we would love to see them!
As lockdown begins to ease the Repair Cafe team are regularly reviewing the situation. Many of our venues are still closed & we are talking to our volunteers as we would love to return when it is safe to do so. We will announce it here when we do reopen. Watch this space

'Keep products and materials in use' which is why we love the #whitstableCup for your takeaways. #ChooseToReuse
One of the three circular economy principles is to 'keep products and materials in use', and recycling alone does not do that. Hear from the Foundation's team about why keeping products at their highest value - is more important than recycling.

We've added a #payitforward donate button onto our website! This now means that wherever you are, you can donate.
Our #payitforward is used daily & its inclusion ensures our cafe is as open as possible to more vulnerable members of our community.

If you are running an event, or promotion and would consider donationing a % to our #payitforward so it remains sustainable for the Winter we would really appreciate any help.
Of course any little or large customer donations over the counter are as always really appreciated 🧡 – at Chestfield, England
Lots of people are committing to renew reuse and mend this year and have a “no buying new policy” - what can you you mend to reuse or hand into someone new? Pop along to one of our cafes and see if we can help you mend something! Next date 15th February
