Hokuto no Ken - VISUAL EVOLUTION★ File 1: Why Kenshiro Wore Bandages “At first, I was aiming for the classic, standard style of a protagonist. Mel Gibson in Mad Max, and characters wearing bandages in Masami Kurumada-sensei's manga, really left an impression on me. I think I incorporated that look to give him that quintessential main-character style. Looking back on it now, though, you kind of wonder, 'Why is he even wearing bandages?' (laughs).”

mugenguild.com/forum/topics/… これにより、内部処理の解析や改造、不具合修正、別のOSへの移植などが行いやすくなるぞッッ!! ※今から20〜25年前に夢中だった方が多いような気がしたので、なんとなくご紹介。ああ青春の00年代…ってやつです。

In laymans terms, Titanium implants are strong and the body accepts them, but they’re way too stiff because the metal takes almost all the pressure, the real bone next to it gets lazy and starts to weaken over time (like a muscle that doesn’t get used). This was the issue with earlier titanium implants and joint replacements the new implant though are made from a special zinc alloy shaped like a lightweight, sponge-like lattice it is flexible and almost like real bone, so it shares the load properly and doesn’t cause that weakening problem Whats REALLY fucking cool is that its also designed to dissolve over time So its a temporary implant, and as it dissolves, it releases minerals and ions that actually promote your new, healthy bone in its place When the job is done, the implant is mostly gone and your own bone has taken over and is the proper strength -medical engineering is a marvel
today while talkin to my friend (who’s a doctor) I learned something really crazy That the titanium implants don't just sit in bone they actually bone grows into them the oxide layer on titanium surface is chemically close enough to biological tissue that cells can't find the boundary so they erase it osseointegration isn't the implant holding on it's biology deciding the metal belongs there the skeleton adopts the foreign object as its own Cyborg vibes

First time making a Mega Man helmet with EVA foam instead of 3D printing. Patterning, shaping, painting, and wiring the LEDs… the learning curve was real, but seeing that classic blue bomber helmet light up made it all worth it. Classic Rockman helmet build process 🔧💙

After forty years in front of the camera, I’ll be directing my first feature film, SO HELP ME GOD: a Civil War epic about a Union soldier named Albert Townsend, who should have received the Medal of Honor but didn’t. Clerical error. I learned of Albert through his descendants’ archival research. What I found was more than an injustice waiting to be corrected. It was a story of friendship and extraordinary courage: an unassuming young man becoming a soldier who held his ground, and his principles, under fire. That’s a story worth telling on the largest possible scale. And we’re inviting the people who want to see it told to help bring it to the screen, as investors in the film through Republic. We intend to do it justice: real cannons, one hundred horses, and the cast in period-accurate uniforms. We’ve brought on Mark Huffam, whose work includes Saving Private Ryan, Game of Thrones, and The Martian, to produce it. He knows what it takes to make an epic, and how much depends on the human story at its heart. At the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I introduced the project alongside Civil War historian Brad Quinlin, members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and representatives of Civil War Roundtables. We’re also supporting the campaign for Albert’s posthumous Medal of Honor. His descendants are still fighting to see his courage properly recognized. This picture is about friendship, love, and honor — and common people rising to accomplish extraordinary things. I want to give that story everything it deserves. I hope you will lift the banner with us. Learn more about the film and the opportunity to invest: sohelpmegod.film

'Hoshi Wo Miru Hito' released on this day in 1987. Perhaps the most infamous RPG of the Famicom era, and renowned as "Densetsu no Kusoge" ("Legendary Shit Game") in its native Japan. Travel through walls, over oceans, and eventually into space in this utterly lawless adventure.
