Patrick Stewart’s voice acting legacy deserves to be remembered too 🥺❤️
Sir Patrick Stewart has passed away at 86, and while generations will forever know him as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek and Professor Charles Xavier in X-Men, his unmistakable voice also became part of an incredible number of animated films, television shows, and video games.
His most memorable voice and gaming roles included:
• Avery Bullock — American Dad!
• Jean-Luc Picard — Star Trek: Armada
• Professor Charles Xavier / Professor X — X-Men Legends
• Lord Yupa — Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind — English Dub
• Emperor Uriel Septim VII — The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
• King Goobot V — Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
• William Shakespeare — Gnomeo & Juliet
• Sandy Claws — The Nightmare Before Christmas
• The Great Prince of the Forest — Bambi II
• Poop — The Emoji Movie
• Pharaoh Seti I — The Prince of Egypt
• Number One — The Simpsons
• Zobek / Death — Castlevania: Lords of Shadow
• Mr. Woolensworth — Chicken Little
• Ariscratle — Ice Age: Continental Drift
• Adventure — The Pagemaster
and many more!
For animation fans especially, Stewart’s commanding voice could be heard everywhere from Disney and DreamWorks to The Simpsons and American Dad!, while gamers heard that same unmistakable presence across Star Trek, X-Men, The Elder Scrolls and Castlevania.
Few actors possessed a voice that could immediately make a character sound powerful, wise, intimidating, or hilariously absurd. Patrick Stewart brought all of those qualities to the microphone.
Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart. From the Enterprise and Xavier’s School to animation and gaming, his voice became part of countless worlds and generations of memories. 🕊️

The legendary Star Trek and X-Men star, Patrick Stewart has passed away at 86, ending a remarkable career that stretched more than six decades across Shakespeare, television and blockbuster cinema.
For generations, Stewart represented a different kind of hero. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard, intelligence and diplomacy were his greatest weapons. As Professor Charles Xavier, he became the calm center of a world divided by fear and prejudice.
But those two icons only revealed part of his range. He could become a hardened warrior in Dune, a terrifying extremist in Green Room, a comedic king in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, or return to his classical roots as Ebenezer Scrooge and Captain Ahab.
Some of his most famous live-action roles:
• Jean-Luc Picard — Star Trek
• Professor Charles Xavier — X-Men
• Gurney Halleck — Dune
• Darcy Banker — Green Room
• King Richard — Robin Hood: Men in Tights
• Ebenezer Scrooge — A Christmas Carol
• Captain Ahab — Moby Dick
• Dr. Jonas — Conspiracy Theory
• Alistair Burke — Frasier
• John Bosley — Charlie’s Angels
Stewart passed at his Los Angeles home after what his representative described as a brief journey with Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body dementia, surrounded by family and friends.
He gave science fiction two of its greatest leaders, but his legacy reaches far beyond the stars and the X-Mansion.
For more than 60 years, Patrick Stewart showed us that the strongest presence in the room could also be the calmest.
Rest in paradise, Sir Patrick Stewart 🕊️
REMEMBERING PATRICK STEWART

His family said in a statement: "We announce with great sorrow the passing of Sir Patrick Stewart yesterday at his home in Los Angeles, in the loving care of his beloved wife Sunny, following a brief and poignant journey with Alzheimer’s Disease and Lewy Body Dementia."
"His sonorous voice and singular talent will forever be synonymous with indelible performances in every genre. He explored the human condition in all its poetic complexity and brought hope not only to the far reaches of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but into science fiction’s most iconic final frontier aboard the Starship Enterprise... He will be remembered for the dignity, compassion and humanity he brought to every role - in his art and life."

Beloved Star Trek Legend Walter Koenig, gone today at 90 years old 🕊️
Koenig joined Star Trek: The Original Series in its second season in 1967, stepping onto a bridge crew that would eventually become one of the most recognizable ensembles in television history.
Chekov brought youth, humor and optimism to the Enterprise, but his presence also carried something deeper: at the height of the Cold War, Star Trek imagined an American and a Russian serving side by side in humanity’s future.
And Koenig never really left that universe.
He returned as Chekov throughout the original Star Trek films and eventually appeared in Star Trek Generations. Decades later, his voice returned to the franchise in Star Trek: Picard as Federation President Anton Chekov, a touching echo of the character who had changed his life.
But there was much more to him than one Starfleet uniform. Koenig became wonderfully sinister as Psi Cop Alfred Bester in Babylon 5, wrote for television, taught acting and remained deeply connected to the science-fiction community for decades. George Takei, his friend for nearly 60 years and whose wedding Koenig attended as best man, remembered him as a writer, teacher, thoughtful man and loyal friend.
Some of Walter Koenig’s most memorable roles:
• Pavel Chekov — Star Trek: The Original Series
• Pavel Chekov — Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
• Pavel Chekov — Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
• Pavel Chekov — Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
• Pavel Chekov — Star Trek Generations
• Alfred Bester — Babylon 5
• Colonel Jason Grant — Moontrap
• Oro — The Starlost
• Sgt. Johnson — Columbo
• Vladimir Maximov — The Real Ghostbusters
• President Anton Chekov — Star Trek: Picard (voice)
and many more!
Remarkably, Koenig was still earning recognition near the end of his life. His performance in the short film Mr. Fleischmann received a Platinum Award for Best Actor at the 2026 Independent Shorts Awards.
For millions of fans, though, one image will always remain: Chekov sitting on the bridge of the Enterprise, ready for wherever the stars took them next.
Walter Koenig spent nearly six decades carrying Star Trek with him. Now the navigator has taken his final voyage.
Rest in paradise, Walter Koenig 🕊️
