11:20pm EDT 26th September -- #Hurricane #Helene has made landfall in the Florida Big Bend region at around 11:10pm EDT just E of the mouth of the Aucilla
River.
Max sustained winds at landfall were estimated at 140 mph & a min pressure of 938 mb.

JUST IN: Apocalyptic scenes out of Houston, Texas as severe thunderstorms sweep through the city, demolishing buildings in the downtown area.
80 mph winds blew out windows in downtown Houston and knocked out power for 1 million residents.
Four people have reportedly been killed by the storm including a mother and her newborn.
Two people were killed by falling trees and a third person was killed by a falling crane.
The mother was concerned about a tree’s stability so she went to move her car when the tree fell and pinned her down.
A 73-year-old man was working in a cement truck when a crane fell on top of him.

The brake check was real but I think it was a tactical move to stack up the field behind him and give himself a straight exit to the win, not a petty move against the 21. The miscue was that there was enough space for the 7 to slip through on the inside.
