Halloween week is here 🎃
Something is watching the chain, and it never blinks.
No tricks on Retium. Just math and logic.
What are you carving this spooky season? 👻

Thanks for flagging this and for keeping everyone calm. As we shared earlier, testnet is going through upgrades right now, so some features may not work as expected for a little while. Updates here 👇

🛠️ Retium Testnet Maintenance & Upgrades
We're currently working on upgrades to the Retium testnet network.
During this time, please expect temporary service interruptions and a possible network reset.
We'll keep the community updated on our progress and let everyone know once the upgrades are complete and the testnet is back to normal operation.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Love the ambition. Perps live or die on pricing and liquidation logic, so it would be a great stress test for the SDK. Once testnet is back, start there and share the repo with us 👀

Appreciate you spreading the word while the network is quiet. Patience on testnet now saves pain later. Anything you'd like improved when it's back? Tell us 👀

Thanks for the clear summary. A lot has landed on testnet in a short time, and this upgrade is about making all of it more solid. What you've learned using it carries straight over 🫡

Next level cooking is the plan 🍳 Thanks for the patience. The people who stick around through testnet resets end up knowing the network better than anyone.

Love that you dug into this. Forgotten approvals are one of the quietest ways wallets get drained, so giving a contract only what one call needs is a safer default for everyone 🫡

Agreed. Virtual liquidity gets a launch off the ground, but real depth has to be earned by people who want to hold and use the token. Learning that on testnet with test tokens is the cheap way 🫡

That's the idea. One RTD with the same one to one reserve wherever you hold it, so nobody has to wonder which version they've got. Coming soon, more as it gets closer 🫡

Rust makes a lot of sense for smart contracts. Memory safety catches a whole class of bugs before anything runs.
Thanks for following along. What kind of app would you want to see built first?

Same here 👀 The SDK is still young, so early builders get to shape it. Once testnet is back from upgrades, show us the first thing you try and we'll share it.

Great point. Cheaper fees never fixed it because the network effect lives with merchants and acceptance, not pricing.
Whatever wins in Europe, digital euro or euro stablecoins, has to be accepted at the till on day one.

Every big tool shift does this. Spreadsheets didn't kill accountants, they created financial analysts.
The jobs AI creates will need new rails too. Agents that hire, pay and get paid in seconds. That's where AI and crypto actually meet.

Micropayments failed for 25 years because the mental cost was bigger than the payment. Agents remove that cost. Stablecoins with tiny flat fees remove the other one.
The missing piece is a budget the agent can't exceed, enforced by the wallet itself.

The two thirds stat is the real story. Payment sovereignty comes from owning the rails, not the logo on the card.
If the pilot allows programmable settlement and works alongside euro stablecoins, 2029 could arrive with real usage already in place.

Sunday build check 🛠️
The Retium SDK has been out for 10 days. Rust devs, what are you building on the new VM?
Drop a screenshot, a repo, or just the idea 👇

Shipping something small every week beats saving it all for one big launch. Good to see the Aussie builder scene this active 🇦🇺
