How is snow baiting out siege tank shots with a reaver and then picking up before it lands... I didn't think that was possible as siege tank shot is almost instant. Must be 1-2 frames of animation at most. I've been watching this game for 23 years and never saw that. #ASL
I hope Microsoft actually properly remasters brood war. BW is like chess. It was magic. Update unit pathing and all the 'bugs' too, then balance the game. Add an 'easy mode' that has unlimited selection. Keep 12 selection for esports. Look at CS2. It's cs 1.6 updated to 2024.
I just re-read the God of War article about Savior for probably the 10th time, but it had been a while. It's such a good read and man what a legendary time in RTS that was. Most tactics discussed are not really a thing anymore with modernized controls. tl.net/forum/final-edits/226…
Seems like almost every new rts idea has almost zero macro. Removing macro seems to be everyone's favorite solution to making rts easier for casuals. But I've always found macro to be a big part of the fun. Where is the love for management playstyle, putting out fires everywhere.

Seems like the end of an era for GSL. What an amazing run it had, 13 years.
On the bright side, watching TY, soo, Stats, Inno, and others compete in BW again would add a lot to that scene. I hope they do.
so I know that scarlett has beaten drg using off race like a decade ago, but that was using a simple 4 gate that was very hard to stop back in the day. So reynor beating solar 2-0 in clear macro games with zero cheese is quite remarkable... very fun to watch
