💡Paul Scholes has just asked the question United fans don’t want to answer. 👀
How can City be condemned for building a football club AND investing heavily around Manchester, while the Glazers have extracted money from United and left the club carrying enormous debt?
If spending and financial sustainability are supposedly about protecting English football, then why is debt not treated with the same outrage when it sits on the other side of Manchester?
United fans can’t celebrate City’s punishment while pretending their own club’s financial model is beyond scrutiny.
Scholes isn’t defending City. He’s exposing the hypocrisy of the debate.
If the rules are about protecting football, they have to apply consistently not selectively.

Greater Manchester Police has indicated that no criminal investigation has been launched into Manchester City as no complaints have been lodged 'by the relevant authorities'. The Citizens face the threat of severe sanctions after an independent commission found they had “clearly intended to circumvent Premier League rules” over a nine-season period.
City were found to have engaged in an almost £1billion scheme to either inflate revenues or reduce costs through a series of “sham” arrangements in order to avoid breaching league and UEFA financial regulations.
Today (September 30), GMP indicated no criminal investigation had been launched while Prime Minister Andy Burnham said it would be wrong to 'leap to judgment'.

It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of
WWE Sign Guy Rick Achberger, today Sunday 9/27/26.
He was an absolute great guy and loved talking with fans at the shows. He tackled some health problems a couple of years ago, but last month began to go downhill rapidly. Rest in peace.

As an Everton fan, I know what it feels like to have the Premier League come down hard on your club.
But I’m not joining the pile-on against Man City.
The process isn’t finished. Stop acting like every trophy has been erased and City’s history means nothing.
Let it play out.

ALT Manchester City are the only club to have a 100% start to the Premier League season
