Rector, renaissance monkey, politically engaged. Opinions my own. Engage with anyone. Social conservative, but Gospel then politics, in that order, always.

Why have I started getting Welsh nationalist propaganda in my Twitter feed all of a sudden? Dear me!

Goodness, there's a lot of bizarre separatist activity on Twitter tonight. Twitter is the home of those who do not get to have their way. Long may it remain the case.

I keep being told that since Musk took over X, it's become a hotbed of right wing hate, but all I seem to see is left wing Farage derangement syndrome. It is genuinely boring.

No disrespect to the Senedd or by elections generally but they're all seismic apparently. Except they're not. The real story here is the huge shift in voting patterns, Labour collapse, rather than who wins from Reform or Plaid. Interesting times generally though. Night all.

Whoever wins in Caerphilly tonight, the seismic news isn't really whether it's Reform or Plaid that win this seat.. which will be re-elected in May anyway. The seismic change is the collapse of the Labour vote. Some tactical voting yes, but some have just stopped supporting them

Crikey, isn't X full of slightly unhinged Farage Derangement Syndrome types! I'd forgotten what it was like. Good news. Whatever Twitter thinks, loses.

Commiserations to the Labour candidate who lost by 6 votes. That's gotta hurt. Congrats Reform. Terrific win. Where now for Labour and Tory parties?

Reform have won Runcorn.

Narrow win in Doncaster, again a multi party split. Labour win by a whisker. Reform up by 30!

West of England mayoralty. FIVE party split.. but Labour win. Reform second!! This is Bristol and Bath folks, remarkable!

Reform FOUR votes ahead... it seems. Go to bed this could be like Florida in 2000!

I do think the binary 'who wins Runcorn' is a big story but really not that significant in the longer term, compared to the vote shares and swings.

Thank God for this. So happy for you Allison.
After visiting my home on Remembrance Sunday, over a tweet deleted a year earlier, Essex Police did not like coverage given by @Telegraph and me. I am delighted the Press regulator @IpsoNews has today rejected the police’s complaint in no uncertain terms. I was shocked and upset, but I gave a fair account of what took place. I now look forward to the legal action against @EssexPoliceUK revealing all materials featuring my name.

This.
Keir Starmer treated Adolescence like it was real, built policy on it, and went on about it for weeks. His response to a documentary that lays out the facts about the rape gangs cover-up? Silence. teapawt.net/TheGriftReport/status/…

I hope @woodyjohnson4 is packing his brolly and his top hat for a return to London. Ok maybe not the topper, but it would be lovely to welcome our friend back to the Court of St James.

As Peter says. This piece of 'research' is incorrect and offensive. This must be amended ASAP.
This table, correlating conservative theology with racism with little to no evidence, is utterly outrageous and the @churchofengland should both withdraw it AND apologise for it

This... absolutely and utterly, this!
Donald Trump is a genuine friend of the United Kingdom. Keir Starmer must roll out the red carpet for the 47th President of the USA. This is a huge opportunity to be grasped.
