🚨BREAKING: A male school bus driver in Ontario who wore a pink schoolgirl uniform and called his bus the “Lolita Line” has filed a human rights complaint after being fired.
Parents filmed him outside St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School in Vaughan last June. He was dressed in a short pink skirt, frilly blouse, thigh-high stockings, and a headband while picking up elementary kids. A sign taped to the windshield read “Lolita Line.”
When parents confronted him, he said he did it every week and saw no problem. The York Catholic District School Board and Landmark Bus Lines immediately removed him from routes.
Now the driver, identified only as L.Z., is suing both the company and the school board. He claims discrimination based on gender identity and has secured a publication ban from the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
“Lolita” refers to the novel about a man who sexually abuses a 12-year-old girl. Parents and the school board treated the outfit and the sign as completely inappropriate for someone transporting children.
We need serious people to do serious jobs. Meritocracy is our strength.
