سپاس از پلیس آلمان. امنیت شاهزاده و بانو یاسمین در بالاترین سطح تأمین شد و ۱۴۰ هزار ایرانی نیز از امنیت کامل برخوردار شدند. دیشب، پس از مطرح شدن احتمال لغو سخنرانی شاهزاده به دلیل ملاحظات امنیتی، شاهد کارزاری قدرتمند از سوی شمار زیادی از ایرانیان بودیم؛ کارزاری برای تأمین امنیت به‌جای لغو سخنرانی. و چنین بود که حضور و سخنرانی باشکوه شاهزاده با موفقیت برگزار شد. ما هرگز عقب‌نشینی نخواهیم کرد.

What an extraordinary week! Over the past week, I had the honour of hosting Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi in Belgium. Whether at the Belgian Parliament, at the Royal Military Academy, where he addressed the highest-ranking generals and the Academy’s students, at the European Parliament, where he met with numerous representatives from across Europe, or during his high-profile television appearances and interviews, he consistently delivered one clear message: The time for appeasement of this regime is over. Stand with the Iranian people’s right to determine their own future through free and fair elections and to choose their own government. And then came yesterday’s symbolic Freedom Award in Frankfurt, dedicated to the brave people of Iran and their leader in the National Lion and Sun Revolution. It was the icing on the cake. By presenting this award to the chosen representative of a nation fighting for its freedom, the world once again demonstrated that the voice of the Iranian people and their sacrifices for the establishment of a secular democracy are being heard and recognised. Tens of thousands of people subsequently took to the streets in a magnificent demonstration, once again standing shoulder to shoulder and promising one another that they would not give up until Iran is reclaimed. During this remarkable demonstration, the German authorities provided the highest level of security and protection for the Crown Prince and the participants. The Iranian people are among the most deserving people in the world of freedom. They know the value of freedom and democracy better than most, and they will ultimately determine their own destiny. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the Europeans and Americans who stood shoulder to shoulder with the Iranians yesterday, showing them that they are not alone. The Iranian people’s struggle to save their country is also a struggle that will help free the Western world from the evil of the Ayatollah’s regime. Stand with the Iranian people. Support their relentless struggle for freedom.
