The Trump admin is ending temporary protected status for Afghan citizens in the US, including some who helped the US military during the war - and their family members. Veterans are organizing to accompany these Afghans to their immigration hearings in a show of solidarity.

#Afghan #Special #Forces, #interpreters & those with valid #Australian cases number are trapped in #Iran abandoned for 4 years.
They stood by #Australia in #Afghanistan war when we need them.
Now they’re under the bombs of Israel in Iran, with no home to return to.
They can't go back to Afghanistan.
Australia must act now.

We all have our own lives — work, family, responsibilities — but sometimes, something greater demands our attention.
A life has been taken far too soon, and it has shattered everything around it.
I’ve taken this deeply to heart.
I can’t stop hearing her voice, crying out for help — a voice that, tragically, no one in our community heard in time.
That pain stays with me.
Despite my busy schedule, I’ve continued to speak with the media because her story must be heard.
We need #justice for this #Afghan woman, and we need strong support from both #federal and #state #governments to ensure her children are placed safely with their blood relatives — and that they are heard, too.
This is not the time for shame, or for chasing headlines.
This is the time to raise our voices for someone who can no longer speak — and to make sure we truly hear her now😭

ALL POWER IN ONE FRAME
This is for the ones who care.
The ones who speak up.
The ones who refuse to be silent.
We stand today with hearts heavy not just for the tragedy of #Muzhda #Habibi, but for every voice lost in silence.
We know this won’t be the last story like his — but we are here to make it the last one.
We are the movement.
We are the voice.
We are the noise that shakes the walls of injustice.
The power of media is our tool. The truth is our weapon.
We honor those who rise with us — who refuse to look away.

Tonight, in Springfield, we remembered #Muzhda.🤍
The young mother of two so brutally murdered — police allege — at the hands of her husband and his brother.
We know one woman is killed in Australia every week.
Last month, we lost twice as many.
This has to stop. Because #enoughisenough
Tonight, we remember her name, we remember her face, and we say #ItEndsWithUs.

We light another candle… another life lost.
Another #woman taken by #domesticviolence.
It feels like it will never end. No matter how loud we scream, how hard we cry, how much we speak out—this keeps happening in our communities.
We are losing beautiful souls.
A mother has lost her daughter.
A sister has lost her sister.
Children are losing their mothers.
This must end.
We need real action. We need the authorities to step up with firm decisions and stronger laws. What’s being done right now is not enough. That’s why it keeps happening.
Let us all come together to honour the memory of #MuzhdaHabibi Her story does not end here.
We will keep advocating—for justice, for change, for every woman, and for the beautiful soul of #MuzhdaHabibi.
I could not be a voice for #MuzhdaHabibi without your voice Rhea Abraham

Al Jazeera has published the names of every journalist killed since Oct 7th.
231 Palestinian journalists have been slaughtered in Gaza. A whole generation of reporters wiped out while many of their colleagues in the West simply shrugged.

All 242 Air India passengers are feared dead. On screens, they are numbers. But behind each number are real human lives.
This video by a young gay British couple on their last night in India shook me to the core. So many futures cut short today. So many stories left unwritten.

UPDATE: #FrantzFamily — Kent and his daughter made it to Chennai in time for his dad’s funeral. But his wife and 5yo twins are still stuck in Singapore without a visa from India’s Bureau of Immigration. They’ve been there nearly 40 hrs. @HCICanberra @PMOIndia
I just spoke to mum in Changi Airport. She’s a trooper. To keep them from going stir crazy, she grabbed the twins and their bags, and left the airport for a short while to explore. She’s exhausted. Her immediate goals? Organise dinner and find a room for the night — we just did✅
Replying to @HCICanberra
@HCICanberra it’s unacceptable that no emergency contact has responded to pleas from Brisbane’s #FrantzFamily stuck in Singapore due to a massive stuff up by @vfsglobalcare who delivered a duplicate visa for one of their twin daughters. Not good enough. @abcbrisbane @TimesNow
Dad's funeral is tomorrow but my brother and family (Australian citizens) are stuck in Singapore on account of a mistake in the name of one of his twin girls on the Indian visa. Will be greatful for any help with this 🙏🙏🙏@VMBJP @M_Lekhi @DrSJaishankar

CORRECTION: VFS @VFSGlobal @vfsglobalcare did not issue the visa — the family applied via indianvisaonline.gov.in, which is the Bureau of Immigration, India.
