learning motion typography has reminded me so much of lecture days in uni.
no lecturer writes out an entire lecture on the board. but a good number of lecturers will write out terms, words and narratives that stand out, keywords that capture something deeper about the actual topic and, more importantly, help you recall what the lecture was about long after the class is over.
It got me thinking about how we remember things.
sometimes, it’s a word that brings an entire lecture back to you. other times, it’s a picture, a sound, a frame or a sequence that takes you right back to a moment.
and I think that’s my why.
My interest in video editing has always been rooted in reliving moments, taking a memory, a feeling or a highlight and giving it a new life, frame by frame, so it feels like it never really ended.
Day 2/30 — building a resume around the reason I started creating in the first place.
