One theme that makes punks so fascinating is the exploration of the juncture of art, technology and commerce
Released as a free claim, and early example of art on chain, individual punks have since traded for millions of dollars
PNKSTR advances that narrative: an autonomous algorithmic token that perpetually buys and re-lists punks using trading fees accumulated from a fee on ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf token trading, buying and burning its own token in the process (when its listed punks sell the ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf protocol uses the eth receivd to buy and burn ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf)
The protocol currently holds 37 punks with 13.86% of its token supply burned to date
ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf launched in Sept 2025 and has never existed in a rampant bull market
It has created a perpetual bid on punks, and like a rising tide will push the punks floor higher over time
It is also a perpetual bid on its own token which encourages speculation
Speculation has been inherent to punks since the early days and isn't inherently good or bad
What's interesting is that as ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf supply declines, its autonomous bid every time one of its listed punks sells will likely make ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf holders increasingly reluctant to sell, while arbers try to game the system
As a derivative layer of speculation on the preeminent NFT collection, this is a fascinating experiment
A share of trading fees now also supports @nodefnd, adding a direct link between protocol activity and support for artists and exhibitions
This is a very positive and interesting development for punks, ethereum:0xc50673edb3a7b94e8cad8a7d4e0cd68864e33edf and NODE

I love the display options available at argonauts.musefacktory.com/m…
Every detail of this collection impresses and the focus is so firmly on the art
Some served Her in secret, some through religion, some in spirit alone.
Some refused to serve and served Her even still.

I found my 7th piece from @lphaCentauriKid’s The Great Color Study in my wallet today.
I’ve been collecting the series slowly, waiting for the Muse’s call for each piece. The Muse called for Algae this time but the weth fairy delivered Asphalt first.
With Argonauts introducing many new collectors to a.c.k. here's a quick 🧵
I find it interesting that Asphalt was the most popular choice of the ten. It's memento mori painting death as mundane rather than elevated as part of the miraculous circle of life (Pollen, Coral, Algae), seeded by cosmic residue (Stardust), reflecting on the ultimate meaninglessness of power and fame (Royalty), or a nod to art history and the existential beauty of the void (Blue - and the Muse's first call for me).
Of course, Asphalt's popularity could be nothing to do with interpretation at all, and just a preference for colour, which is the other core theme of the collection.
And the collection lives up to its name.
Each colour is carefully considered, each title encourages deep reflection and influences interpretation.
The Great Color Study.
