โDeadlyโ Doug Ellis introduces Miss Aston Villa to the press and it quickly goes off the rails:
โHow about that eh? Sheโs the latest Miss Aston Villa. Isnโt she beautiful? Oh, Iโm so pleased.โ
โIโve never seen our logo sit so well. Yeah, lovely!โ (Itโs right across her chest.)
โOnly problem is sheโs got an engagement ring on. Iโve no chance as usual.โ
He then calls her over:
โCome in. Get close to meโฆ Oh yeah. Stick โem out now โ Iโll pull it straight. Nice and tight.โ
โIsnโt she beautiful? Youโll get lots of modelling jobs after this.โ
Sheโs laughing along and doesnโt look obviously uncomfortable, to be fair, though itโs hard to know how she actually felt.
The press and the whole room are laughing with him. They seem to be enjoying just as much as him!
How do you think this would go down today? ๐ฌ
I can already hear the outrage.
Think about it, the UK has fallen so far that its greatest ally America, has had to pull its planes off British Airbases because they have no confidence in Britain being able to protect their multi billion dollar aircraft from this guy.

Never in my life did I think I would witness something so abhorrent in a Western country. To see rape openly glorified as resistance is beyond sickening. If this is what some pro-Palestinian activists are promoting, I do not want anyone who advocates such barbarity in our country, regardless of who they are.

Shocking neglect and abuse of retired Lt Col Stephen Maguire DCM SAS, a natural born leader of men who spent 40 years in service to his country, and his son's long fight for justice. Please share Ben's post widely: "My father, Retired Lt Col Stephen Maguire DCM SAS, is a man who spent nearly 40 years in dedicated service to this country, serving from 1970 until 2009. He is a natural leader, a decorated soldier, to those who served with him. However, he has been completely abandoned and betrayed by the very system he gave everything to.
I am fighting for justice for my father. This struggle is a mirror of my own life; my own journey marked by the negligence of MPs, charities, and veteran services which led me to the absolute rock bottom of homelessness as a veteran myself. I know exactly what it is like to be discarded by the people who promised to provide support.
After years of fighting, we finally have a pathway toward the right care, but the damage is already done. The sheer scale of the failings along the way has crippled a man who likely only suffered from PTSD. What should have been a manageable recovery became a total collapse because of institutional incompetence.
This isn't a failure of one person or one office it is a systemic rot. For too long, the UK government, regardless of which side of the fence they sit on, has played a political game with the lives of our veterans. Whether it is Labour or the Conservatives, the result is the same: service men are treated as assets when they are useful and as liabilities the moment they are broken. We are told our sacrifices are "remembered," but the reality is that once the uniform comes off, the care vanishes.
We sought help for my dad, worried about PTSD and dementia resulting from his service. Through the SAS Association and Veteransโ Aid, he was referred to various healthcare facilities. Instead of professional care, he found negligence from these referrals.
In the last few years alone, he has been through multiple institutions that have failed him. We've dealt with incorrect diagnoses, doctors who tried to push him out of their care because he was "too difficult," and the removal of life-saving medication that led to him being sectioned under the Mental Health Act. He was sedated and left to decline without specialist care. His PTSD was completely ignored, and his medical history was dismissed. In one instance, he was admitted to the hospital due to low sodium caused by the excessive use of anti-psychotic medication.
The most infuriating part is the silence from the top. MPs have explicitly ignored this situation and failed to act for a Lt Col in 22 SAS. The "Military Covenant" is nothing more than a piece of paper used for photo opportunities while men like my father are left to rot.
The system has failed. The NHS has failed. Veteran charities have failed. From the MOD passing the buck to the medical incompetence of the facilities, my father has been abandoned like thousands of others.
I am posting this because we need accountability. It is not enough to simply "help" now; there must be justice for the way he was treated. My father spent four decades looking after his men and serving at the highest level for the United Kingdom; it is a national disgrace that the government failed to look after him and many like him.
Do not listen to the rhetoric the government continues to push. As this is an example of what happens after 40 years of dedicated service.
Please share this. We need the people in power to answer for this. We need leaders who actually lead, not politicians who just talk."

Trotsky โ The Myth.
Ask a Western leftist which communist he admires, and you often get the same answer: Trotsky. The intellectual. The orator. The true revolutionary, betrayed by Stalin. If only he had wonโฆ
Look at the young Trotsky in the picture: round glasses, wild hair, burning eyes. Many young leftists today would recognize themselves in him. The look hasnโt changed. Neither has the certainty.
So letโs look at what he did when he had power.
Born in 1879 in what is now southern Ukraine, Trotsky was a brilliant writer and a spellbinding speaker. In October 1917, he played a central role in organizing the Bolshevik seizure of power.
Then Lenin made him Commissar for War, and he built the Red Army, directing it from an armoured train that rushed from front to front.
Deserters were shot. Military discipline was enforced through executions. Blocking detachments were deployed to stop retreating soldiers, and former tsarist officers recruited into the Red Army were kept under surveillance by political commissars. Their families were sometimes held hostage to guarantee their loyalty.
Cruelty knows no limits when you have no doubts.
In 1920, the Red Army marched on Warsaw. It was stopped on the Vistula.
That same year, Trotsky published an entire book, Terrorism and Communism, explaining why revolutionary terror was necessary. He wanted labour militarized too: workers organized like soldiers, subjected to military discipline and compelled to serve the needs of the state.
In 1921, the sailors of Kronstadt โ once hailed as the pride of the revolution โ demanded free elections to the soviets. Trotsky supported the suppression of the revolt. Thousands were killed in the assault or executed afterwards.
Then he lost the power struggle to Stalin.
Expelled, exiled, forced abroad. From there, he wrote that the revolution had been betrayed โ by Stalin, never by himself.
He ended up in Mexico City, where he stayed for a time with Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. And so the Western romance took shape: the exiled prophet, the revolutionary betrayed, the road not taken.
In August 1940, a Soviet agent who had gained his confidence entered his study and struck him with an ice axe.
The machine Trotsky had helped build had come for him too. His killer later received the Soviet Unionโs highest honour.
Trotsky was not the alternative to Stalin. He was the same machine โ only with better prose. He never rejected the terror. He rejected losing control of it.
The "good communist" is always the one who lost.
Next: Stalin.
The Butchers โ The Men Who Ran the Soviet Terror.
Moscow, a winter night in 1937. Long past midnight in the Kremlin, a man with a pipe sits at his desk under a lamp. In front of him, a stack of typed lists โ names, one per line. He runs a blue pencil down the pages. A tick. A note in the margin. Sometimes a name crossed out, sometimes one added. The same pencil he uses to edit film scripts and poems.
His officials stay awake at home, next to the phone, in case he calls before dawn.
Hundreds of lists. Tens of thousands of names. On a single day, December 12, 1937, he and Molotov approved more than three thousand death sentences. Then, historians tell us, they went to watch a film.
But Stalin didn't invent the machine. He perfected it.
In August 1918, Lenin sent a telegram to his comrades: hang at least a hundred kulaks โ hang them so that people see it for hundreds of kilometers around. Trotsky, the "good communist" of Western nostalgia, ordered the families of officers taken as hostages.
The founders gave the orders. Then the machine needed men โ men who would build the apparatus, fill the camps, write the confessions and pull the triggers. And sooner or later, it devoured many of them.
1. Dzerzhinsky โ the Founder. "Iron Felix," a Polish noble's son, who built the Cheka in 1917.
2. Trotsky โ the Myth. The revolutionary Western intellectuals still romanticize, who wrote a whole book defending terror โ until the machine he helped build killed him with an ice axe.
3. Stalin โ the Editor. The man at the desk, with the blue pencil, long past midnight.
4. Yagoda โ the Builder. The Gulag as an economy: canals dug by prisoners who died by the tens of thousands. Then shot by his own machine.
5. Vyshinsky โ the Prosecutor. "Confession is the queen of evidence" โ so he got confessions. "Shoot the mad dogs!" at the show trials, then the Soviet seat at the United Nations.
6. Yezhov โ the Butcher. The Great Terror, the quotas, the Polish operation โ then shot, and erased from the photographs.
7. Beria โ the Strategist. Katyn, the atomic bomb, the deportations โ and a predator. Shot by his own colleagues three months after Stalin's death.
8. Blokhin โ the Executioner. In the spring of 1940, at Kalinin, he personally shot thousands of Polish prisoners over a few weeks, in a leather apron and cap.
9. Serov โ the Hunter of Poland. He crushed the Home Army, lured the leaders of the Polish Underground State to "talks" and had them tried in Moscow. Then Hungary in 1956, and the first chairman of the KGB.
10. Andropov โ the Modernizer. Dissidents sent to psychiatric hospitals instead of camps: softer, quieter โ same goal: erasing people. The first secret police chief to rule the country.
11. Epilogue โ The Chekists Never Left. From the KGB to the FSB to the Kremlin.
Why name them? Because their whole work was erasure โ of people, of records, of memory. Remembering is the opposite of what they did.
And erasure didn't die with them. Today it rarely needs a bullet. It is called cancelling, deplatforming, debanking, lawfare. The inconvenient person isn't shot โ he is removed: from his job, his bank account, his platform, the conversation. Yezhov needed a retoucher. Today a terms-of-service update does the job.
For Poles, these are not names from a history book. They are the names behind our grandparents' graves โ and that is why we recognize their heirs.
