First recording with the Ambient Recording Sound Fish ASF-1 MKII Hydrophone. The sounds you are hearing are of oxygen slowly leaking from chunks of colored sidewalk chalk.

@befacosynth “ARK” is here. ARK is a music production computer where algorithms, chance, and signals converge in a single creative workspace. A 16-track canvas where you can place CV generators, drum voices, synth voices, and different types of samplers, including drum players, slicers, and granular samplers. At its core is a powerful composition system built around scales, chords, and harmonic relationships. Build progressions, generate melodies, and develop musical ideas that stay connected to the harmonic context of your track. Create evolving chord progressions. Generate melodies that follow them. Introduce chance, variation, and algorithms without losing the musical structure underneath.

Iota II is an advanced and in-depth experimental visual workshop for multi-sampling. It is a highly open-ended tool that lets you approach sampling from many directions and use cases, both simple and complex. It centers on a visual spectrogram of a sample, where playback sequences can be drawn as 2D points; each point represents a playback and filtering position that matches the spectrogram (X being the sample position and Y being the filtering position). You can create multiple layers of playback sequences across samples, each with unique playback/effect/other settings. You can trigger playback in a variety of ways, and it supports multiple modes, algorithms, and settings (including physics). This allows you to use the instrument in so many ways: a precise multisample chopper, a concatenative synthesizer, many forms of granular synth, various types of spectral and resampling for wild textures, rhythms that can span many genres, and really many more use cases yet to be discovered; an endless rabbit hole BEAST of a sampler.
